Where do I get the correct boot2.bin for a 4.1U wii and where do I put esmodule.elf & fsmodule.elf ??

Pip'
Did you even read the startup guide? You make it using 0000000e.app(from IOS60 v6174) and the ES/FS modules

Wait LONGER. It will come up. I thought the same thing too. Apparently HBC when properly installed creates some kind of indicator file that is aware if HBC was installed by a WAD file or something, and apparently it thinks the same with yours. Reinstall HBC and it will fix it.
It's something in the .tik and .tmd let's HBC check whether it was installed to this Wii or not.

I used showmiiwads to create a HBC.wad from a NAND dump. Then used showmiiwads to install it to SD-NAND and it showed the scam screen and bird. I then compared the original tik/tmd with the tik/tmd from the wad install and they are different. One example is in the tik where the real one says "TheMostAwesomest" whereas the wad version says "GottaGetSomeBeer"

There's more to it thought as I took the files from a NAND dump from a different wii and that knew too. It must tie it to cert.sys or setting.txt since those are the only files that didn't come from NUSD in my dumps.

It's frustrating beuase I can't get hackmiiinstaller to install under sneek. It loads fine, ut when I say install it retunrs an error, -0010000106. Oh well at least anyone getting scammed is also getting nagged!

@Pip - you've got some reading to do first.

Instead of having 2 HBC's, one with the old title ID and one with the new title ID, just install the haxx to jodi forwarder so if anything tries to launch the old title ID, then at least it will be launching the newest HBC instead of the older one.

I just have a LoadMii channel installed as a backup. Keep in mind that forwarders can launch any app as long as it's in the right spot, so those are a kind of backup app launcher as well.

My theory was/is that it checks the "last modified" date/time the TMD and/or TIK. Never dugg into it...

So does this require bootmii as boot2? I haven't seen any clarification on that yet.
I'm curious as well, I hope the answer is no. I want to be able to run an emulated NAND.

i can confirm you that it does work with bootmii as ios

I don't know if anybody mentioned before, but cIOS rev7 and cMIOS from WiiGator working fine with Sneek. Rev7 doesn't have hdd or double layer support but it plays all my dvd5 backups. So it is not the worst option for now.
Hmm, that's good to know I guess. The weird thing is that it would "brick" my virtual NAND whenever I tried installing a wad of rev7 through ShowMiiWads. But it seemed to have installed correctly after running rev7's installer app from SNEEK. Time to bust out the old backup launcher gamma. lol

That does support the mload theory.

Hi friends, who can help me?

I compiled the SD, launch Sneek from HBC and goes quickly, when I start a channel or application tells me "The system files are corrupted."

Look forward to your help, thanks.

When it was a comex's nand formatter compiled for my console ID then I did not get the scam screen or the bird, but when I used one compiled for a different console ID then I dod get the scam warning and the bird until I reinstalled using the hackmii installer.

How would one compile comex's formatter for a specific console ID? I've successfully got bootmii cross compiled and can compile the formatter like normal but do you need to add some sort of configure switch to add the console ID? thanks

HBC reads a file on your nand, device.cert to check if HBC was installed correctly. In betas it did not loaded this file from real nand, causing scam + bird.

Didn't had it. To go sure I used the first beta phase 2 binaries and yeah; don't get the scam warning.

the console id is within the same area where the common key and NAND keys stored, therefore not changeable.
The device.cert is normally created on the fly by IOS, it is NOT a file on the NAND.

sneek supports reading a device cert from the SD card. if there is not one there, it uses the one of the real wii.
