Okay, but there are 3+ different types of controllers for the game, there is customization, there are added features that other arcades didn't have like baroque.qdog82 said:When i was young and a new fighter came out, we started playing the game till we learned everything, not bitching around on a forum after a little playtime because there is no tutorial.
squall23 said:Actually, you're not going to be playing normally with a Wiimote + nunchuk if it's anything like the original version. The Wiimote + nunchuk controller isn't actually a traditional controller. A is a combination of the 3 attack buttons while B are different attacks.
In other words, Wiimote + nunchuk = worst controller for this game.
Guild McCommunist said:Holy crap, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom has such horrible flaws. I'll say that right now.
For starters, there's absolutely no tutorials. No way to learn what button equals what, no way to learn the control scheme. Your best bet is mashing random buttons in training and see what works. Second, you can't even exit out of a mode. If you accidentally hit Arcade Mode, for instance, you can't just exit. You have to chose characters, load the first match, wait for the countdown, then exit. It's incredibly frustrating. Third, without any knowledge of button mapping or even a good way to learn moves outside of wishing in Training and looking at the attack sheets, it comes down to dumb button mashing. Over and over again. It's so frustrating. IGN, are you fucking serious with a 9/10? looks like Capcom sucked enough cock for IGN, at least (having a T vs. C advert plastered all over the background of IGN Wii doesn't help make them seem any balanced, either).
For fuck's sake. I actually threw my controller out of frustration, and then learned the game doesn't auto pause if you lose connection. Wow, just wow.

And I definitely agree about the tutorial, but I can live without it. But I am just saying, not everybody that plays this game will be a hardcore player, or even old enough to understand every concept. This is the Wii after all, try and remember.
And if djbubba is uploading it, he's not obligated to tell anyone, so don't even ask.
Arm73 said:Do you realize that when you were born, Street Fighter II was already out and famous all over the word, and people would gather up at the local arcade to play by using quarters and watch other people play in order to learn tactics/moves , and of course there was no tutorial or in-game pause button with all the moves conveniently displayed and explained for the user, nor did it come out with an instruction booklet , but nevertheless it didn't stop people from becoming tournament champions ad real good at kicking each others asses ?
Most fighter fans already know the basics, and you also have the move lists interactively displayed in the game plus an instruction booklet when you buy the game.
What more do you need ? I know, that little thing called Nintendo everybody plays ( I don't really know what it's called! ) were the game plays itself and you may throw your controller because you don't need it anyway................Yeah that's what you need.
This game is awesome and if you suck at it there is no one else to blame but you.
And yes, when you were born in 1993 I was already sweating my palms at the arcade playing Street Fighter II for the record, and I find Tatsunoko vs Capcom a nice trow back for the good old times, it even has characters from my favorite shows when I was a kid and their signatures tunes.........I would give it 10/10 actually, but I think IGN did pretty well too.........
saison said:Okay, let's put this in a not so uncommon situation.
Buy the game used, no booklet, and you have no internet.
The games is an Arcade-fighter, not a Bedroom-fighterGuild McCommunist said:Arm73 said:Do you realize that when you were born, Street Fighter II was already out and famous all over the word, and people would gather up at the local arcade to play by using quarters and watch other people play in order to learn tactics/moves , and of course there was no tutorial or in-game pause button with all the moves conveniently displayed and explained for the user, nor did it come out with an instruction booklet , but nevertheless it didn't stop people from becoming tournament champions ad real good at kicking each others asses ?

Yeah, this isn't an arcade. This is my bedroom. I hope you realize I couldn't give two craps this whole Street Fighter II thing or your whole story about how much you played Street Fighter II. Last time I checked, I'm the one playing the game. Just because you played a lot of Street Fighter doesn't mean your opinion isn't any better than mine. Why? Because it's my opinion. I could be some random Joe who just bought my Wii, having never played any video games before, and just popped in this game and my opinion is still equal to yours. Because it's an opinion. I don't care if you like it. I don't care if you're all judgmental and think acting like the end-all of fighter games.
Still, a lot of my criticism comes to simple aesthetics that you can't deny at all. The fighting, on the other hand, took some getting used to but is alright.
Now, I'm gonna chill out because the last thing I want is a larger poo throwing storm that usual.

Mind giving name of said torrent/file?HaloBenish said:A non-scene release is out but is going very slow for most people. I don't expect mine to be finished until I get up tomorrow morning and then I have other things to do. I won't be able to play it until Wednesday night probably unless it finishes before 1 a.m. est for me.
Found it on my private tracker thanks.HaloBenish said:"No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle [NTSC-U]" is the file name and that's all I'm giving.
