Lol DaMummy. Anyways, Bootmii is an ABSOLUTE MUST! I capatalized that because it is. You need it. Especially if you can get it as boot2.

Install cIOS60 found in cIOSCorp v3.4 at least and have Preloader use that IOS for System Menu, and it will load just fine.

So, getting JODI patched preloader to work under 4.2SM doesn't require a DOP ios70 anymore?

Yes, bootmii is HIGHLY recommended, especially if installing cIOSCORP. The reason why preloader gives "system menu files are corrupted" screen is because the system menu IOS needs to have the ES_Identify function patched for preloader to work with it.
And it sounds like you either don't have cIOS249 installed, or it is a stub. Try running the cIOS rev14 installer, and if that works, try installing cIOSCORP again. If it doesn't install, report what error code it gives you, so we know what to do next.
The the "system menu IOS" seting in preloader should (usually) be set to 60 for 4.1x, and 70 for 4.2x.
Hope this helps.

QUOTEcIOSCORP v3.5 is in testing phase. It should be released soon.
i understand...and btw thanks for all your efforts for this great project. looking forward for it.shiroitaka said:In testing at the moment, I am beta testing itstill a few gripes but otherwise ok
Why is HBC upside down? Is yours using IOS61? It should be. use DoP-IOS to install IOS61 without patching it at all, then uninstall and reinstall HBC.shiroitaka said:Okay reinstalled 3.5, still no joy fatal frame and wii fit plus all lock up on a black screen from disc channel and HBC is upside down

cIOSCORP does not mess with IOS61 at all so it's probably your fault. Only the shop channel (and HBC) uses it so there's no point in messing with it (other than making sure it's up to date... but without patching anything).
it's probably completely overwritten with the update already... if not... then it will be when you install cIOSCORP v3.5...FiveseveN said:I have a Wii 4.2U I am not using cIOSCORP on it atm. Before pressing search and reading on how to update safely to 4.2 I just let the System Update go and do its thing. After going through getting homebrew on it and bootmii back up as boot2 I forgot I had cIOSCORP on my Wii. I am currently playing my back-ups through Neogamma back up loader.
Since I previously on 4.1 had cIOSCORP v3.4 installed on my Wii is it necessary to Uninstall it since I am already on 4.2? I just want to know if it is something I should consider in order for the next release of cIOSCORP to go smoothly. I want to avoid headaches!
So you'll never start your new project?da_letter_a said:Disc updates are SystemMenu related, not IOS related
Disc Updates update also IOS, what do you think why tehre are IOSes on game discs? And why do games request an update if you are on 4.2 but have old IOSes?
QUOTE(da_letter_a @ Sep 9 2009, 02:52 AM) I am planning to make a full wii modding package after cIOSCORP v3.x has been perfected.
