unless they know how to track down the original seller who no longer is easy to find, they are buying from a 3rd party wholesale. acekard changed their policy a while back and started to only sell to chinese 3rd party wholesale outlets. english speaking buyers have had issues purchasing from them. the wholesale outlets only want to sell to chinese sellers for some reason, and in lots of 5k+.

If they didn't buy from Acekard straight then why is Realhotstuff.com on there official resellers?

If acekard didn't send the Acekards straight to realhotstuff.com wouldn't they remove it as there official reseller?

We got our Acekards from them directly at the beginning. They started selling their products cheaper in China than oversea. The price they offered was higher than the retailer's (DX) price. There was no way for us to pay wholesale price higher than DX's retail price. We had to buy from wholesalers in China to get the low price. We don't know why it had to be this way, but we had to go with it.

So, we do not get them directly from Acekard any more. Our supplier has been very honest with us so far. He promised that he sold me all authentic products, no fakes. It is the case so far. I confirmed with him again and he told me that batch for sure were authentic. he had emailed Acekard about the issue. I am hoping they can look into this soon to confirm it.

Again, if our supplier cheated on us about this batch of AK2.1, we will take some action against them.

We tested the AL2.1 from the same batch today and could not find anything wrong with them. If our supplier mixed real and authentic ones together, then we have no way of knowing it now. At this point, I choose to trust my supplier and believe that we did not send you a fake one and will not send any fake ones

As far as I know, just booting AKAIO is not sufficient. You have to launch a DS game to "verify" the cart. If the message "Unsupported Device" appears, it is fake.

As far as I know, just booting AKAIO is not sufficient. You have to launch a DS game to "verify" the cart. If the message "Unsupported Device" appears, it is fake.

Yup.

AKAIO 1.5 will not boot on fakes/clones at all however.

As a common user, I appreciate your sincerity in the matter, however it's clear that any user buying your cart won't be able to run any games from AKAIO, since it blocks HW:80 as an unsupported device. Although from what I've read in this topic, both sides have their own claims and you'd need a reply from an actual acekard representative.

I never had a problem with Real Hot Stuff, I purchase acekard while back and it died. Open a support ticket, sent it back, got a refund and bought a cyclods from them. Great support and great service.

Is there anyway to change the thread title on here? I can't see the option.
Oh and the thing now has ridiculous contact issues and takes 20 times to get recognized that it is in the ds.

Your cart is clearly defective. It's not supposed to have so much contact issues.

Only mods can change topic titles. PM one, I'm sure they'll change it for you. Although, I don't know why it needs changing since it IS a fake.

OP, Did you have a chance to take pictures of the card? I think Acekard will need that to verify it.

For other members, since we are waiting for Acekard to verify it, please do not jump into conclusion that we sold fake cards. If any of you bought AK2.1 from us and think you got a fake one, please post here. It is very unlikely that we had only one fake in the whole batch we got. We sold manny of them fo rthe batch we have.

I know there are people out there may not be happy with us for whatever reason. But, please say it only if it is a fact or if you can prove it.

I am going on a long trip and will not have access to internet for a day or two. I will check back when I have a chance.

ok dude i think you really need to stop spamming this post with "change the topic title" i mean its good that your taking an active intrest in your customers but i wouldn't worry about your other customers as im sure there smart enough to see that it was a once in a million thing and won't stop coming to you as they have had great products from you before.

Very unlikely that you got a fake?

Put it this way, the AKAIO team have worked hard on getting this to work on Acekards and Ackeards alone, if Team Acekard brought out a new hardware version (in this case, 80) the first people they would have told would be the AKAIO team so that they could change the firmware so it'd work with this new hardware. Since there is no new hardware, and this one is unheard of, and AKAIO refuses to play ROMs on it I would be confident in saying this is almost certainly a fake, pictures or not.

It may not be your fault, but you have to stop insisting it cannot be a fake.

You can check our previous posts, we never spam. We care about our customers and that's why we posted here. Our posts were only related to customers' issues, we had never spammed here.

We don't have AKAIO 1.5 to test. We tested our AK2.1 with AKAIO 1.4. It worked fine, showed hardware version of 80.

You do not need 1.5. You need 1.4.1 and you need any ROM. Try launch it, and you will get the Unsupported Device error. Even if it is not a fake, it's obviously not working if it's not loading ROMs which is a good enough reason to exchange it.

As I said, we tested with AKAIO 1.4. It worked fine with a ROM and the hardware version is 80.

We did try it with AKAIO 1.4 and it worked.

I am about to go on a trip so I can't take a picture of the screen. I can ask my assistant to do that Monday if you need to see it.
