What am I doing wrong? I have 449 blocks free?

1. With preloader, do I need that to always start or can I always return to system menu? Also, if I do that, how can I go back to preloader?
2. Do I need to install CIOSCORP for anything?
3. I just noticed USB Loader GX won't load my hard drive anymore. It says "No USB Device Found. Do you want to retry for 30 secs?" and then gives the option to choose between cIOS249, cIOS222, and back to Wii Menu. No matter what I choose, it just counts down.
Any idea?
1. You can go to the settings and have preloader autoboot the system menu or the HBC or even a file (such as USB Loader GX) so in that case the Wii would boot directly into your USB loader. Then to get back to preloader you would hold the reset button when turning it on or if you have bootmii installed to boot2 you would hold reset after selecting to load the system menu.
2. Absolutely not necessary at all and definitely not recommended for anyone that doesn't know what it does. No other application will modify your system NEARLY as heavily as CIOSCORP will and pretty much all it gives you is being able to click on the disc channel instead of a backup loader channel. If you use a USB Loader it is entirely useless.
3. With more recent cIOS revisions the drive needs to be plugged into the outer usb port, the one closer to the edge of the Wii. If you followed the guide and installed cIOS rev10 that may not be the case, but try either port anyways. If you updated to rev14, then it MUST be in the outside port.
Ok I finally started the thing after I got my new GC controller today. I did all the steps up until 11 but I can't proceed. Waninkoko's updater does not work for me.gulimsoto said:Ok, I did the offline one. Everything went smooth, or so I thought. Now my Wii freezes everywhere except in HBC and usbloader gx. I have already installed 4.1 and 4.0. It does the same on both. I did install bootmii and preloader. What should I do?
Thanks
P.S. It was not doing it before the upgrade.
If you don't have an SD card in your Wii does it still freeze anywhere?

I have 3.2u wiikey 1.9S and a old homebrew. My wii has the wifi turned off but I can turn it on.
1 quick question for all the gurus out there.
1) Do I need to upgrade the homebrew first. Or just run the apps from the SD on the mediafire link and reinstall the home brew,
thanks in advance.
It would be best to follow the whole guide and update your HBC because with the same installer for the updated HBC, you can also get bootmii which is HIGHLY recommended to be installed especially if you can install it to boot2 on your system. With a boot2 install of bootmii and a NAND backup with it, you are pretty much invulnerable to bricking your Wii so it's a good idea to do that before anything else. You don't NEED to run bannerbomb to run the hackmii installer if you already have the HBC now. You can run the boot.elf like a normal app through the HBC by putting it in your apps folder like normal or you can just enable your wifi and open up the HBC and when it initializes the network it should prompt you to update automatically and take you straight to the hackmii installer from there.

First time I ran it, it started to download everything, finally it downloaded the photo channel and something like press A to continue came up, which I did, then the wii system menu came. I checked the version from the settings menu, still 3.2E.
I started the updater again, after half an hour of downloading, just when it finished downloading the photo channel, BOOM! Back to the Wii system menu again. I checked the version again, still 3.2.
What is happening? Should I just give up and update via Nintendo? Will all the cios and trucha bug things I did gonna be overwritten if I did?

Now I insert the Sports Resort backup into my Wii...and.... BEHOLD: BSOD and Error #002......

Older backups and VC/Wiiware channels work fine BTW...

Are you still using the gamma 0.3 loader? If so you should be using NeoGamma R7 instead. Also WSR will need some alternate dol loading the first time to watch the video and then can be loaded normally afterwards (with a good loader/cIOS) There's a sticky specifically for WSR in the backup loader forum.

I'm not using any loader. Like I said, I have D2EPro
