3 days to go. I'm nabbing the build and upgrading my vista sp2 as soon as it's out. I have the whole drive backed up with norton ghost in case something goes wrong.

Nah.....Edhel said:Vidboy10 said:Excuse me, but what does RTM stand for?
RTM stands for release to manufacturing. Meaning development is complete, any bugs microsoft discover afterwards will be fixed through windows update and service packs. Wikipedia has a good article on software release cycle.

until none of the software is backwards compatible it's a relic just like win98

Buggy code? How come? I've been using the unstable windows 7 releases and have had no problems whatsoever.Edhel said:jesterscourt said:Ordered 2 copies of home premium @ half off from M$ for $100 total, so I should be good, hope it's not too problematic to go from RC1 to RTM.
If you mean upgrade from RC1 to RTM, then you can't do that from what I read. Upgrading from buggy code to a more stable release is just asking for trouble anyway. You would be better off doing a clean install.
