cios rev13 there is no 13a only 13 and 13b, but a lot of people seem to have issues with 13b so stick with rev13.
yes rename it to boot.dol plus i assumed that u would extract it to the folder named cios38_rev13-installer. but thats fine, yes create a folder named that so u know exactly which 1 to use and put that into apps.
then launch homebrew and select that file and install it. if u done ur wii urself it is quite striaght forwrd, takes around 60secs to install rev13 over your previous cios, by the way do u know which cios you are on. i found rev9 the most stable before this 1, the only issue i have with rev13 is that if u try to reboot from any backup channel the wii freezes, but with an auto boot channel like the 1 i quoted u will be fine. let me know how it goes.
Thanks, i followed all of the directions and here is the update.
here is what works and what doesnt:
Wii info: LU36, 4.0U (Virgin), Bootmii, Preloader, cIOS38 rev13
HBC, Homebrew Browser,
Western Digital 1T
NeoGamma R4 - playing all of the backups of my originals from western digital, only plays some backups of DVDs, only plays one or two downloaded games, freezes up on COD3 (wich i really want play). Should i upgraded to R6? Any other suggestions why it wouldn't play downloaded games via USB? any games tutorials that i should read?
USB Loader GX (r568) running it from Apps - dumps games amazingly fast, but will only plays games dumped through itself, doesn't want to play anything else including Zelda which was dumped by DVD Dumper.
Backup Launcher 0.3 - completely useless, would like to get rid of it
I've made copies of ISOs to my desk top from western digital using WBFS Manager 3.0, but for some reasons i cant copy them or move them to other storage devices on PC, always tells me that there is not enough space on the device which is nuts i have more space than i know what to do with, anyone know what could be preventing me from moving them around?
