Note: There are several USERLAND exploits, a couple of KERNEL exploits, and there is now a public HYPERVISOR exploits available for 1.xx-2.70 to complete the full exploit chain (23/10/24).

Recently Flatz confirmed he has developed his own HV exploit (1.xx-4.51 which is kept private) which was chained from a PS4 save game, and has successfully dumped PlayStation Secure Processor (27/07/23).


As of August 4th 2022: We can now install PS4/PS5 PKG games and updates (and by extension FPKGs) however official PKGs cannot be run unless you legitimately owned them previously digitally and have a licence for them on your current console, or if you own the disc (for update pkgs).

As of October 6th PS4 FPKG can be played on 4.03 OFW thanks to Sliersgoevy FPKG enabler!

Oct 8th 2024: BD-JB + Kernel works on 7.61 thanks to user Hammer.
1: Never enable IDU mode.
If you do you will need to enter staff mode by holding L1 + L2 and tapping this combo: circle, cross, square, triangle, right D-Pad. Release L1 + L2 and you can access settings to exit IDU.

2: Try to stay on the lowest FW possible and wait it out for hacks on that firmware.

3: PS5 FPKGs cannot work as a hack for the a53 processor does not publicly exist to enable PS5 content as FPKG/PKG.

4: Installing legit game PKGs you do not own will not work, even if spoofed.

5: If you get stuck in a boot loop at the PS logo, this means the SNVS is corrupted (if hash check fails on boot this causes a “soft brick”).

It’s not “bricked”, just reinstall your current firmware RECOVERY PUP in safe mode!

i have ps+ paid off for a little while but i plan to take my console offline. i’m assuming blocking psn through dns would also block my access to my ps+ games, but does anyone know if i don’t block psn can i still play my ps+ games without updating the console or will they expire?

PS+ Games have your current PS+ expiration date when you download the game as part of the license file so they will stop working on that date regardless if your PS5 can access PSN or not. If you view the game's information page it will tell you when that game will stop working. If this PS5 is not currently your primary active PS5 the game won't play anyway.

They disabled the 10% off code on the PS5 Pro nearly a month ago anyway. It only worked for a day or two.
Ok, interesting.

It looks like very.co.uk have a 20% off code (WELCOME) if you sign up for buy now pay later. I should have bought one from them. They have a bundle with a disc drive as well, so 20% off that too. It's a pity I had opened my EE one, or I'd return it.

I ordered a PSVR playstation.com/camera-adaptor for free from Sony as they are stopping providing them soon

You will have to update as you would have to do a restore licenses action for the PS5 to get the new PS+ expiration date.

Game dumping clarification from Zecoxao:

Games that struggle to decrypt require mmap patches, and hypervisor can bypass these and decrypt games that have not been able to be dumped properly providing they’re playable on a HV compatible firmware (1.00-2.70 for now).

Higher games rely on Flatz releasing his HV method for 3.xx-4.51 whenever that may be: if ever.

Until then, not all games can be dumped and decrypted successfully with only the UMTX kernel exploit.

Honestly, I think both console and pc gaming Market are frustrating but for different reasons. If PS6 is digital only, it will be sad day for consumers or at least those who still care about physical media.
If you look at how Sony is handling external disc drive for Ps5 pro with low stock, it's clear that disc media is not a priority. Imagine in four years time with further decline of physical and PS6 launch. Situation is looking doubtful 🤔

This confirms my suspicion when I had this odd dream that Spiderman 2 cannot be decrypted. I didn't want to say anything because I didn't want to jinx it.

If the PS6 is digital only then I'm done. Not paying full price for a revocable license.

yeah it’s a 7.6x game so it’s going to be interesting to see what games can be dumped once hen for 7.61 comes out 😥
