In Internet Required For First Time PS5 Slim Disk Edition

Hi guys, if i buy a ps5 slim, disk edition, will it require internet when i first turn it on to pair the drive with the console? and if so, will this force a firmware upgrade to latest firmware?

I just want to play disk games only (offline single player games) and have no interest in getting an online account.

Yeah Slims are to be avoided if you want to one day have CFW and have a disc drive. You may consider selling it.

One thing to note, games may require an internet connection anyway to download parts of the game.

Just yesterday I saw on the box that Blops 6 says "internet required requires content download"
