I have a PS5 running firmware version 9.60. I'm running VoidShell 3.0 and have it set to auto-load the latest version of BackPork.
I can install backported versions of games that require newer firmware (10.01 and up), and they will be detected and launch just fine. However if I close a game, the next time I launch it, I just get the error "Could not start game or app".
This happens with both raw dumps and games in .exfat format. Rebooting the console and re-injecting the Backpork payload do not fix it. I've tried completely deleting and re-copying games (including DLC and save data) and that does not work either. Backported games will always fail to start after the first launch.
Has anyone else encountered this? I can't find anything online that sounds remotely like my issue.
Edit: after further testing, this issue seems to affect all PS5 games, not just backports
