Features

  • Vulkan/NVK renderer with GLES3 fallback
  • Nintendo Switch controller support
  • Touchscreen and multitouch support
  • Built-in IPA importer
  • Import support for Galaxy on Fire 1 iOS IPA v1.0.5
  • Automatic content cache generation
  • Configurable render resolution
  • desktop and mobile UI modes
  • Switch keyboard support
  • On-device asset pack for faster loading

Installation

  1. Download the latest release from GitHub.
  2. Download the original Android APK from the TheWWWorm/galaxian repository.
  3. Extract the APK using 7-Zip or WinRAR.
  4. Copy libgodot_android.so and libc++_shared.so from lib/arm64-v8a/ to:
    /switch/galaxian_nx/
  5. Copy the assets folder to:
    /switch/galaxian_nx/assets/
  6. Launch the port and select Choose your Galaxy on Fire 1 IPA.
  7. Select your Galaxy on Fire 1 iOS IPA v1.0.5. The game will import and cache the required content automatically.

Configuration

Example:

screen_width 1280
screen_height 720
deadzone 18
assetpack 1
enable_vulkan 1
ui_mode desktop
desktop uses the desktop UI and scalable font.

mobile uses the mobile UI and bitmap font.

Touch Controls can still be enabled or disabled independently from the in-game settings.

Notes

Enabling on-screen touch controls increases CPU/GPU load due to continuous touch interface processing and rendering, which may reduce FPS. For better performance, playing with Touch Controls disabled is recommended.

This is an unofficial Nintendo Switch port. Original game files must be obtained by the user from their own copy.

Thanks to TheWWWorm, NaGaa95, and everyone who contributed to the underlying projects and Nintendo Switch homebrew ecosystem.
