Hello, i was trying to replace the drifting sticks on my controller and accidentally knocked this smd component off. I'm not well versed when it comes to these tiny resistors but i was wondering if anyone could tell me what kind it was so i could get a replacement. i still have the old one but i cant tell if it is damaged or not. i checked under the microscope and the pads are good at the very least.

I have a practice smd soldering board that has a bunch of similarly sized components but nothing quite the exact same, any help would be appreciated thanks!

Sorry, I don't have a BDM-020 board at hand but looking at the size of the traces, that is likely just a capacitor.
If you controller works without it, then it is just a capacitor to remove ripples from the voltage line.

Cheap ass transistor meters like a LCR-TC1 can also measure capacitors and they cost something like $20 on Amazon.
