Reading is just staring at marked slices of wood for hours while hallucinating vividly.
I had a similar experience with “Leave The World Behind”. Then the book just ended. We were like “WTF!! What happens next?”

I have a few books I'm trying to work on. Right now it's Screenplay by Syd Field, In Memoriam by Alice Winn, and Last Night at the Telegraph Club by Malinda Lo.
Last book I read was Blood Meridian, which I did enjoy a lot.

Currently taking a break with Going Postal by Terry Pratchett - which does not hit the same spot but still interesting

the last physical book i read was "chiemsee jazz" a german crime story including some recipes, situated around the bavarian chiemsee
i read it in one day.
recently i have read the first chapter of "the eye of hong kong (original english title: the borrowed)" by Chan Ho-kei, but i am pretty lazy
but most of the time i let the books be read to me , i.e. audio books (in rotation: some terry pratchett, daniel suarez, andy weir, the dragonlance chronicles)
i read it in one day.

Solutions and Other Problems, by Allie Brosh.
Just as hilarious as the original, but with some emotional moments to it, as well. Whereas Hyperbole and a Half has more iconic, doubled-over laughing moments, the sequel seems to be a little more frenetic and unfocused. Still absolutely worth a read if you enjoyed the original, but it isn't on the same tier.

Recently i'm picking up different comic books, this time polish author - Morze po Kolana (Knee-deep sea) by Marcin Kołodziejczyk / Podolec. It was fine, well known atmosphere, half surreal but funny.
