Does anyone have any experience with X-Files, The Original Series (X-TOS)? And do they have any ideas on what episodes are good and which are bad?

I wasa hoping for a swarm of 'My People!' would come and tell me their secrets about the X-Files

Oh my ~Gosh! I' didn't read the *whole* 'Terms'. I didn't know that was public.

I will take your test!, I'm Ready!

The only advice I can give is to persist, and not to expect a great deal of closure (if any) to anything - it's all unexplained phenomena after all...

The worst thing about The X-Files is the twisting, drawn-out, over-arching mythology that, if you have to take an extended break from it, there's a good chance you'll have no idea what the hell's going on when you get back to it; actually, I'd give it a 95% chance that'll happen either way.

It's one of those shows I loved as a kid, but despite repeated attempts to watch it fully, I'd have to take a break and, again, I have no idea what's going on when I come back to it as it ends up pulling from so many different plot threads the further on it goes...

I've just checked where I got up to on the most recent rewatch and apparently there's only three episodes of the original run to go (and I still have no idea what's going on)🤦🏻‍♂️

The best thing about the The X-Files is, of course, the earlier seasons where they were more self-contained and it was all still a fresh experience.

Take that as you will.

I had a go at it a while back and I don’t think I made it past the pilot episode. I do enjoy wading through these old series though, so I’m tempted to give it another try one day… good luck with your challenge!

oh and yes, please read the forum rules and refrain from posting about watching the x files if you are 46, you deviant weirdo!

Haven't watched since the '90s (I do occasionally think about rewatching), but my best tip is that you've gotta want to believe.
Ya! I'm the same way. And my next watch is... Friday the 13th the Series! Thanks for the tip!

I Sure Will! and I take it as Great Advice™! 'Persist Padawan, and you will find the Whole.
Brain Quakes. Shows like this game me Brain Quakes® as a kid. AI would take in some piece of media, get high and Think about it. And integrate it or toss it aside from my building of intellect. X-Files: embarrassed the hell out myself, to myself. "Friday the 13th The Series" is just the desert this season. wUw~♥ >Pepperann<

Get yourself a lot of pain killers for when Agent Doggett's story arc comes along to replace Agent Mulder. It's a snore-fest after that.
Snore-Fest huh? consider me officially videogame-backgrounding that arc!

My advice is to watch it on evenings, in your bed : it's a great show to fall asleep to ! I watched it in the 2010's (never watched it before) and found out it's better than a sleeping pill :rofl2:

At the bottom of your post, press the three dots next to "Report" and choose "Edit". Then at the bottom where the image shows as an attachment, press the bin/trash icon 🗑️ on the corner of the image. Then save the post.

:ha::P:bow::bow::teach::teach: Woo+! How in the world did you know that would work?
Next question, can you explain to me what in the code is happening to make that happen? or anyone you know?

I don’t know what you mean by this but don’t do anything but have the show on the screen in a dark room. Turn off phones, turn off any other device, curtains closed. Really adds to the experience. I suspect it’s also how Chris Carter would have wanted it.

I don’t think the later seasons are bad, but they aren’t as good. I think the MOTW episodes are a little less interesting after Mulder because their dynamic isn’t as good, nor is season 9 with Reyes, but I still think the mythogy arc is good regardless, and I really love the finale.
