Is the ROM modified in any way?
If not, then try reformatting the SD card using this guide: https://dsi.cfw.guide/sd-card-setup.html
If the issue persists, then which game?

Rrrrright, new issue; I'm trying to run A Little Bit Of... Dr. Mario, but annoyingly it isn't loading but instead hangs on a white screen. This didn't seem to happen before updating, which is a bit obnoxious. Any idea on what's happening?
Quick edit - last time I played was before updating from v24.9.1 to v25.7.0 (I know, it took me a long time to bother updating. ^-^''). Currently on the latest firmware.

Dr. Mario still works for me. Is nds-bootstrap up to date as well?
If so, then the ROM might've got corrupted somehow. Try replacing it.
If the issue persists, do other DSiWare ROMs work? If not, then try reformatting the SD card using this guide: https://dsi.cfw.guide/sd-card-setup.html

I'll try to replace it with another ROM, and another version of Bootstrap. Castle of Magic and Mr. Driller: Drill 'Till You Drop still work (albeit Castle of Magic red screens when you get to the first photo booth), so it's an issue with Dr. Mario it seems.
Edit: Updated nds-bootstrap. Tried again with a Dr. Mario ROM from Archive.org, yet it's got the same issue. Games like A Little Bit Of... Nintendo Touch Golf and Mario Vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again work though. Game still works on the older firmware - tested on my Japanese DSi LL which I haven't updated yet.

Both "Dr. Mario Express" (USA) and "A Little Bit of Dr. Mario" (Europe, Australia) are working fine for me.
Try deleting the .pub file for the game in the "saves" folder, in order for it to be recreated.
If the issue persists, then uninstall TWiLight Menu++ and install it again.

If the issue still persists, then try reformatting the SD card using the SD card setup guide linked earlier.
If a reformat didn't help, then somehow, your ROM is corrupted.

Alright, I'll give that a go. I'll let you know the results. ^-^
Update: No luck on all three of these. I have no idea how the ROM could be corrupted, unless the one from Archive.org is just a bad dump. Guess if I wanna play this I should use my systems on the older firmware.

I've been having an issue where I cannot launch anything using Slot-1 SD passthrough mode with an Acekard 2i. For context, I'm running twilightmenu++ on the DSi, and the Acekard 2i has AKAIO installed. I saw in an update that the AK2i's SD card could now be accessed without needing Twilightmenu++ on both the system and the flashcart, so I figured that I'd make my configuration more portable to keep saves synced across my devices.
In Twilightmenu though I can see the contents of the Slot-1 SD card, but attempting to load any roms will crash the DSi regardless of whether I have roms run through the flashcart's firmware or NDS-bootstrap. I'm still messing around with the settings right now, but I was wondering if anyone had any combination of settings that fixes this functionality since there's a ton of different variables which could be the culprit

This is a known issue. You'll have to use both the "SCFG access for Slot-1" and "Auto-start Slot-1" settings instead of the "Slot-1 microSD access" setting.

word so I'll install Twilightmenu on the flashcart too, does twilightmenu on a flashcart keep the compatibility from the native kernel or does everything go through B4DS and/or nds-bootstrap?

To keep the kernel compatibility, nds-bootstrap must be turned off in TWLMenu++ Settings.
Also, you only need to add the autoboot files onto your flashcard instead of fully installing TWLMenu++ onto your flashcard.

That's something i've been meaning to ask. Does using nds-bootstrap on a flashcard affect anything?
I've been mostly using nds-bootstrap from the flashcard i have in my 2nd DS Lite instead of using the YSMenu kernel to load games

Using nds-bootstrap allows certain DS ROM hacks to work, of which YSMenu cannot boot.
It also breaks a few games of which work on flashcard kernels, such as Golden Sun: Dark Dawn (which is known to not work on both flashcard and console SD via nds-bootstrap).
The in-game menu features of nds-bootstrap also work, such as screenshots and RAM dumping.

There's a way to fix this... though it's less of a fix and more of a workaround.
Add this in `sd:/_nds/TWiLightMenu/settings.ini` before the [NDS-BOOTSTRAP] section.
Code:
SLEEP_MODE = 0
After doing the above, you should only start TWiLight Menu++.

If the issue persists, or if other games/apps black screen, the real fix would be to find out what's triggering sleep mode when the console's lid isn't closed.

OK, update on the Dr. Mario sitch.
For nds-bootstrap, I've tried versions 58.1, 59.0, 65.1, 66.0, 67.0, 68.0 and 69.0. Verions 58.1-66.0 all work without a hitch. 67.0 and 68.0 all sort of boot, but only boot to a white screen. nds-bootstrap menu is available; trying to select exit game causes a Guru Meditation (same thing happened on 66.0 and 65.1 when I checked). Funny sex number version does the same thing. So I have no frickin' clue what's happening.
Edit because I'm an idiot, the Guru Meditation thing was my fault. Went away after re-installing TWLM.

A possible cause could be this:
> A few DSiWare can now read the TWL font table!

  1. Is there a "TWLFontTable.dat" file in "sd:/_nds/nds-bootstrap/"?
  2. Is the DSi region-changed?
