I am using WiiSX_R 2.5 on wiiflow_lite, every time I quit a game and go back to wiiflow the classic controller no longer works even if I save the slot in the settings, I have to unplug the wimote I go into the settings I reconnect the classic controller and it works, but every time I have to always do so

If you're on a virtual Wii on a Wii U, Wiiflow Lite is a buggy as f*** on Wii U. WiiSXR is reliable if launched from the homebrew channel.

You know you need to save control remapping schemes inside WiiSXRX?
wiiflow lite does not save the classic controller scheme, every time you start a game from wiiflow it does not recognize the classic controller but only the wiimote
Started WiiSXRX from the homebrew channel and then the game recognizes the classic controller

Hi guys,

For my own, I am using WiiSXRX only from Homebrew Channel.

Indeed, as far as I have tested, WiiSXRX is too buggy when used from Wiiflow, especially when it comes about controllers.
in fact it does not save the configuration of the classic controller
the rest is OK

I use WiiSXRX using a Forwarder Channel compatible with AHBPROT and it works for me.
WiiSXRX 2.5 has autoboot of games using a compatible forwarding channel works well and saves the classic controller configuration.
Problem
Using WiiSXRX 2.5 with auto-start support for Wiiflow, it does not save the classic controller configuration
I start the game by clicking on the cover the game starts immediately, I enter the settings and configure for the classic controller and save, return to the game and play with the classic controller
I exit the game and return to where I have all the covers of the games I click on another cover of the game starts but the classic controller does not detect me or I play with the wiimote or I always have to go to the settings to have the controller detected
Now I don't know if it's a wiiflow or WiiSXRX 2.5 bug
so it is useless to have WiiSXRX on wiiflow when you have to use it as a forwarder channel

Is Wiiflow compatible with AHBPROT?
Are you using Wiiflow from HBC or forwarder channel?

Add this parameter to the meta.xml between <app> and </app>:
<ahb_access/>

start wiiflow from forwarder channel also putting in the meta.xml file
<app> <ahb_access /> </app>:
it does not save the configuration for the classic controller

I want to contribute to this emulator (at least for a private build). I have a couple UI things in mind. But I am a complete newbie at this sort of thing. Any help?

My first goal is to download what niuus has on GitHub and compile it myself. I downloaded the latest devkitpro installer and the latest libogc (2.2.1). But the devkitpro installer already included a libogc folder, so do I need this separate one (2.2.1)? Help with the library stuff would be very useful. I also downloaded libwupc, libwiidrc, libfat, and libogc-rice -- I think at least one of these is needed for WiiSX RX, and I don't know where to put it.

I have heard some homebrew requires specific old versions of devkitpro and libogc. So if WiiSX RX is like that, that would be good to know too.

Also can I compile with the "make" command from Windows cmd, or do I need to use the msys thing included with devkitpro installation?

Basically just let me know if there are any unique requirements for compiling this, because it isn't working for me and I might pull all my hair out! Lol. Thanks anybody who reads this.

EDIT: Specific problem so far is this:
1) I go to cmd and type "make Wii"
2) It kinda works but there are many errors
3) The first error is it can't find zlib.h. So I went online and downloaded zlib and placed it in C:\ and gave my computer an environment variable for that path. Didn't work. So I don't know.
4) Then there are a bunch of errors with code in the cdrmooby28 directory, specifically because "iso c++17 does not allow dynamic exception specifications" So I uninstalled Visual Studio C++ 2015-2022 from my computer, and installed 2015 version (bc C++14 came out in 2014, so I figured that version must NOT be c++17). But I still got the same c++17 error.

I would really like to solve this. Thanks for help as always.
@Kirby6417

If you want to contribute to WiiSX RX, fork the project for make your improvements/changes and send a pull request to niuus, you can go to his official GitHub:
http://github.com/niuus/WiiSXRX

If you ask me how to compile WiiSXRX, i don't know. Tried compiling WiiSXRX by myself but i couldn't.

Hi, I'm wondering if the Swap CD won't recognize the other disc, could it work if I made the CD's as a multi-disc instead?
Or should I skip all the games with 2 or more discs. Hope you guys can answear this. Would save me alot of time to complete my collection. Cheers!

can anyone fix the analog values? using wiiu gamepad and analog option lots of games analog range is busted, using bugs bunny and taz time buster if you use analog bugs bunny or taz only walk, unless the stick is fully up/down/left/side so any diagonal values is considered walk, this does not happen on my ps3 with the official disc, i tryed several games and seen this behavior more than once, someone did some bad calculations with the analog thing.

using 2.5 latest release on github btw.
I'm surprised this hasn't been brought up more. This has plagued Wiisx ever since it got Wiiu Gamepad as a control option and its STILL not fixed? Trying to play Spyro and he just walks with a full press of the stick to the left on Gamepad. I fear it will never be fixed. :(

Don't know if you tested but today i've tried the USA version of Croc 2 (which i've modified the ISO for not to play FMV scenes which cause the game to crash) and looks like that the game works, only some slowdown (i think it can be more playable when Frameskip is ON, you will play better if you use WiiSXRX on overclocked vWii).

SOME NOTES ABOUT CROC 2 (NTSC-U) WITH NO FMV SCENES:

The game takes about 30 secs to 1 minute for get past to the title screen (during this time you will see a black screen until the game gets past to the titlescreen), since i've removed the FMV scenes using a blank STR file by @SuperrSonic for make it compatible with WiiSX-RX.
When you start the game using "New Game", the first cut scene will be very glitchy and you cannot get past of it with any button, but if you pause the game with START button, go to the menu when on pause screen using SELECT button, save the progress to that point with "Quit and Save", then exit to the game titlescreen and load the current save using "Load Game", the game looks like that it can be played.
Currently i've played the first level and the "Boat Race" mini-game, but i didn't test it further, but i think it will be playable.
PD: The game i've started with the BIOS set to load from SD and not from HLE.

I will attach a save file of the Memory Card for Croc 2 NTSC-U (SLUS-00634) for WiiSXRX which you can start from the beginning in the Sailor Village (without the glitchy cutscene).
(put this save in device_root:/wiisxrx/saves/)

If you don't know how to remove FMV video scenes of the intro and some scenes for make it compatible with WiiSXRX, i will leave a blank STR from @SuperrSonic and some guidelines from me:
