It's been archived for a while now, even though it still has a lot of issues though including one by me that involved the software causing me to delete something very important to me. (I still love the software, just look at my user pic.)

Is this a good thing that it's now opensourced, will someone else might fix? Or is it a harder problem than that

Very easy fix, I would have done it myself but I didn't want to bother with it because I would have to download the compilers and everything and I'm just starting to figure out Unix.

If you can do it, you should do it, rather than only pointing it out. :teach:

Thank you! :)

I was answering someone's question, and I clearly explained why I didn't want to bother doing it. My explanation implied that it's only an easy fix if you already have the compiling software.

It's okay. You made it clear, no need to explain yourself further. :yay:

I'm sure someone won't mind doing it at some point. :)

I suppose someone will fork it and continue work, but really it's already extremely good, it's not a huge loss if it never gets updated again.

It's always been open source.

care to explain what the issue was? I assume it wasn't an error on your end, so atleast to be aware of it and avoid it

lol i never thought there'd be such fanatics of a homebrew software for 3DS. It's like he enjoys using FBI more than playing the actual games
You use FBI to install (some of) the actual games, so no FBI means no (some) games.

@SylverReZ, I dislike the kind of drm where you have to play single player games online all the time bc of some verification bs

@Xdqwerty, Don't use games that have Easy Anti-Cheat as its been exploited many times.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

Either that or their old games were unfinished aswell but we can't notice it

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@Psionic Roshambo, I have a rom of the ds version of impossible mission
