Sent you DM with linkHi. I am about to receive the sx lite. Is there any good installation video??
I have good solder skylls but i prefer to have a videoguided tutorial anyway.
Thanks in advance!!
So, after waiting for a long time to install this, i tried it and failed. Burned sp2 off((
The console still starts and works for some reason... should i expect it to fail at some point because sp2 is burned?
Also, are all 0201 capacitors the same? i have an old broken geforce 650gtx and there are also a lot of those capacitors around the processor there, so could it be possible to get one from there and put it on the switch?
This is exactly how I modded my Switch Lite. It is perfectly safe to keep both shields off. It's great look. I briefly used the colored buttons that came with my shell, but they are such low quality it just doesn't feel the same. Plus it doesn't look the best with white buttons and might look better if black buttons come around.Well I got my Switch lite back from @ModderFokker619 Thursday. A little review of his services. I had pre-ordered a chip months ago and was planning on installing it myself. Well I couldn't wait any longer for it to show up as I have a trip coming up out of the country. I wanted my modded lite with me for it.
I wont say how much I paid since he may change his prices. I feel like I got extreme value for the price paid. He provided and installed the chip. Updated the switch, setup emunand, and everything else with SXOS. It took 1 week from dropping it off at the post office, to having it back in my hands. I feel like there could have been some things done better, the shield could have been straightened a bit, the thermal paste on the heat pipe could have been changed. But given the price, the turn around time, and the fact that he is pumping out these installs, I am not complaining. Realistically my nit picks make no difference to functionality and they shouldn't deter you from using his service.
I highly recommend him for anyone needing an install.
As for why I took it apart, smoked clear shell swap. Now Im wondering if the black buttons off of the Joy Cons will fit in a Lite shell.

Ah, interesting...I need my switch lite modded by installer in USA.

As for if joycon buttons will fit: sadly no, they aren't the same. There's colored ones floating around AliExpress, but they are just full colored sets. No grey, no black. I really want either super famicom themed or DMG themed. But as I said, those super famicom buttons really clash with the white, and have shaper edges than the stock buttons. Let's hope some special editions come out at some point so more buttons can be bought.

Got your PM. Thanks for the quick reply. I will be sending you my switch lite.PM Sent.
Yeah they sit flush. It's the outer diameter of the button. They are a sharper corner from the side of the button to the top than the stock Nintendo buttons are more round. It's a hard corner. I'd probably use magic eraser or just the finest grit sandpaper to try and minimise the roughness caused by rounding them out.Little trick for those buttons that arent flush.
Shave or sandpaper the rough edges. Should be flush after wards

For those wondering I focus mainly on the Tegra as far as paste is concerned. Arctic MX2. Thank You!

But on top of that, the sfc colored buttons just don't look as good with the white analog, dpad, +/-, and home/screenshot. I've only found one user who had black buttons, but they used cast resin and made them themselves. If you search for a white lite shell on YouTube you'll find them. There's a bunch of users on Etsy and Twitter that make custom buttons. But I'm not too much into that world that I know who would be able to make black or grey buttons for me.
