Gaming Related 2020's hopes?

What are your beliefs, hopes, excitements you wish to see come true in this new year or decade?

Personally, being a Nintendo fan boy, I would love to see the following:

- Nintendo actually making a powerful console just like it's competitors.
Saying that they won't do it in order to keeps costs low, it's bullshit. Take a look at the Wii U.
Maybe, Nintendo would get 3rd party support if their consoles where better specs related.

- Nintendo actually paying attention to VR.
How about:
Open World Metroid in VR?
Pokemon Snap in VR?
Mario Kart in VR?

- Nintendo making new IP's

- Nintendo actually making a new Super Mario Bros that's not the same since Super Mario 64.

You think VR has some promise with the current tech? OK then.

Nice blown wide open hacks for all the consoles.

Android and IOS to pull their weight on the gaming front.

Mid tier devs that actually do interesting things to return to the world.

If we are to do a Nintendo one. Them saying poke it we are going third party. Failing that them actually putting some effort into their new games -- Mario, Smash, Mario Kart, Mario 2d, Zelda... have all stagnated or gone awry and while I don't really care about any of them at this point they could make something nice. I would say advance wars but eh.

Though third parties should also be irrelevant -- MS, Sony and whomever else wants in on it to say we are making something and it will be like DVD in you buy a disc and put it into any player.

It doesn't seem like Yr a fanboy by saying the mario games have been the same since Mario 64 I don't think Nintendo will be hardcore on vr as vr isn't really for kids and of course thts a market they will always want to own and I'm not saying nintendo is just for kids-I just want to see an achievement system put in place then nintendo will be probably be a 50 50 game time usage with my playstation

-Not another Pokemon game for at least 2 or 3 years
-More info on the new Zelda game
-More info on the new Elder Scrolls game
-New ips from every company
-Better, cheaper vr
-Knack 3

Also lol Mario games have changed a lot since Mario 64. Mario Odyssey has some similar ideas to 64, but it's very much its own game and one of the best Mario games in a while, not to mention Mario Maker totally innovating on the Mario franchise as well.

I hope to find the budget to get a switch next year. It (still) being hackable would be t great. But even so : a larger version (or at least one with standard larger buttons) would be great.

I want temple gates to release roll for the galaxy (my only anticipated game this year), and if possible more expansions for both race and shards of infinity.

Oh, right... And I want Proton to just keep the pace in improving games on Linux. On that front : epic game store support there would be nice as well.

Nintendo to have a revelation and realize they'd be a lot further along if they started acting like a gaming company. The Switch was great on paper. Not in practice.

Microsoft to cancel the next Xbox and just shift their efforts to PC as a primary. A pipe dream, but they might as well. Have you seen how the new system looks?

Sony to bring future first party titles to PC. Even if after a 6 month exclusivity period. I'm not a fan of the Playstation ecosystem or the controllers. Not going to buy their system just to play a few titles, either.

I want Doom Eternal to have a kick ass multi-player. I have no doubt I'll love the single player, but what I've heard about the multi is a bit upsetting.

I also want 343/MS to have PC as the primary platform for Halo Infinite with an emphasis on true competitive plays and balancing. They can't skate by on the Halo name, forever. Every other title in the competitive scene sees numerous balance patches within a year.

Because I like the sound of Nintendo and hav had great memories of ther games - I don't lick anyone's arse all I kno is Nintendo and Sony make great games so appreciate both its not difficult to like em both - and I can play Melee I hav every nintendo machine also

I hope the Xbox Series X actually does well and doesn't flop out of the gate like Xbox One did with the Kinect fiasco.

Also on a person level I hope to finally get around to beating Jade Empire. It's been on my to do list since 2008.

Can't wait for Cyberpunk 2077. When it comes out I'd drop everything I'm doing to play it.
And even though i likely wont get it in 2020, I have good hopes for the new Xbox series. But I'd rather wait untill there are a few more games then the usual launch games. (Or if GTA VI drops.)

- Resident Evil 3 Remake will hopefully be good.
- Maybe a new,good Tomb Raider Game....
- F1 2020 - maybe finally with the Option to play a complete Season
choosing from 1975 - 1995 Seasons with all Drivers and original Tracks.
