Hello all, annoying problem here, I have enabled external FIRM in LUMA, used the TWPatcher and also created the widescreen.cxi file, I managed (I don't know how) to run pokemon white 2 in widescreen, turned off the console and now I always get the message "failed to backup custom twlbg" and then the game is launched in 4:3, any idea why ?

I have an issue. The widescreen patches are being applied or not applied at all for every game, even for unsupported ones, and other times, it is not being applied for supported ones, in less words is literally random for all games, sometimes is applied, sometimes not, and viceversa. I checked the directories related to the patch and everything seems fine. I'll try to do a clean install to see if that fixes the problem.

EDIT: Also, previously I said that I finally got Wario Ware D.I.Y to work, because at first I used an existing save file with data and everything was working fine, but when I went to save the game, everything got wiped!! (Thankfully I have save bakcups). Anyway, I just saw that this is a known issue related to nds-boostrap stated here: https://github.com/ahezard/nds-bootstrap/issues/675

To fix the issue, install the latest TWLMenu++ CIAs, then run "TWiLight Menu++ Last-ran ROM" in FBI Title list.
If that doesn't fix it, delete the TWLMenu++ titles in the title list, then install the CIAs again.
If that still doesn't fix it, delete "TwlBg.cxi" in "sd:/luma/sysmodules/".

A clean reinstall fixed the problems I hade with the WS patches, now everything works fine!
An other question: Are the number of AP patches limited to 99? Or can I add as much patches as I need? Because I have various that are not yet included in TwilightMenu++ that I would like to add.

Yes, you can add more patches. Please fork the repo, add them, and make a PR as well. :P
The .ips patches have to be below 1KB, like the included .ips patches, and the ROMs have to be patched using the DS-Scene ROM Tool to ensure that.

Excellent, thanks for the explanation, will do it once I'm off from work and through the weekend.

Wow, the widescreen looks good!! I'm really happy. Thank you guys. Just a question, is there supposed to be a little black bar on the side of the screen?

Yes. It's not possible to fill the entire screen.
Also, I can't tell if it's stretched or not.
Did you put the new "TwlBg.cxi" in "sd:/luma/sysmodules/", or in "sd:/_nds/TWiLightMenu/TwlBg/" as "Widescreen.cxi"?

I put it in the "sd:/_nds/TWiLightMenu/TwlBg/" as "Widescreen.cxi".
But don't worry. It does look a bit stretched in the picture but irl the image is perfect. Its as if it was made for 16:10 ratio in the first place. Very impressive!

Before I get too deep into chasing the issue, does the AP patch feature work for you on Mario vs DK Mini-Land Mayhem (USA)?
I have everything apparently set up correctly but I still get the issue reported in the compatibility list. I also noticed that the AP_FIX_PATH field in the nds-bootstrap.ini file is blank after I force-close the game, so I think it may not be writing it in the first place. Writing it by hand before launch did not work for me either.
