Homebrew SNES9x for Old 3DS

Is it possible to choose to control player 2? I'm wondering 'cause I want to enter the speed 10 cheat code in Street Fighter II Turbo which can only be done on the Player 2 controller unfortunately.

Assuming USA region of Street Fighter II Turbo; dunno if code is compatible with EUR and JPN versions.

1. In Notepad, type these lines and save this as an *.chx file.

Y,ADFC-E40D,10 Star Turbo Mode (part 1)
Y,F9FC-E46D,10 Star Turbo Mode (part 2)

2. Name that file the same as your snes rom and place it in the same directory it's located.

3. Launch snes9x_3ds. Check under the Cheats tab to see if both codes are check marked: ✓.

You should now be able to fight to your meth's content.

I tried playing the new Tenshi no Uta translation, but the opening text is invisible and the in-game text is garbled. It works on the most recent version version of snes9x, so is there any way to get it to work on here?

That bug is present in the latest Snes9X GX Version for the Wii. That´s probably a bug ported over from the base Snes9x for the PC.
Not sure if this is something bubble can fix.

If you have a new series 3DS and computer, your best bet is to emulate the game on the latest desktop Snes9x emulator and then stream the video output to the 3DS using PinBox.

If you have a new series 3DS and computer, your best bet is to emulate the game on the latest desktop Snes9x emulator and then stream the video output to the 3DS using PinBox.

So the only one which rendered things properly was Snes9x 2010?
That's interesting.
So it seems any version of Snes9x from 1.52.4 and above might have the proper fixes for this game, but damn I don't think it's worth even trying xD

Thanks for checking it out, I suppose I'll have to stick with good old PC for this game. It seems like a great little on the go type too

this is fantastic, just discovered this and everything ive tried seems to be running well.

quick questions - is there a way to reset all the emulator settings back to default? i played around with and changed most of them just to see what happens but now want to reset this back to normal.

also, is it possible to disable tapping the bottom screen to bring up the menu and assign this to a button instead (ideally ZR or ZL), as ill often knock this lower screen accidentally and bring this menu up when i dont want to.

Delete the configuration file found at:

*.cia version?

• smdc:/snes9x_3ds.cfg

or

*.3dsx version?

• smdc:/3ds/snes9x_3ds/snes9x_3ds.cfg

You can't disable the lower screen but can assign a button to pull up the menu:

• Controls → EMULATION FUNCTIONS → Open Emulation Menu

when I launch in 2D mode, the top screen keeps the 3D on. I have parental controls enabled has a while, but launching in 2D mode never worked for SNES9X
