Breath of the Wild Editor


-Use with caution, read the README.
-The same features as my old one + modifiers
-Open & Close BOTW before opening my editor.
-Use DPAD to move.
-Press A to select an item.
-Press B to return one screen.
-Press Y to edit rupees.

Disclaimer: I only tested it with version 1.3.3 and 1.5 of BOTW if it doesn't work please send me your save file to check it why.

Run BotW first until the main menu. Close the game and then run the Save Editor GUI.

I'll try on my son's Switch - same region, same firmware, same version of game.

It's working now - not sure what I did different, other than maybe when I first tried it was a brand new save file from the very start of the game, and I had no items or rupees or anything. And only one save slot (which was 0). So maybe that causes the BOTWEditorGUI to lock up? @Jpe230 can maybe tell us?

you can edit that stuff in the online editor (https://marcrobledo.com/savegame-editors/zelda-botw/).. but yea, it's less convenient than doing it on the switch itself since you need to export save, edit on pc, and then reimport on the switch so updates would have been nice.. still very useful tho

That would do it, the app is set to read folders 0-5 for Normal mode and 6-7 for Master Mode. On a completely fresh game, you would not yet have all the Quick Save slots filled in, thus causing the app to freeze when trying to load the pictures and data in the empty folders. A simple check for empty folders would probably fix that.

Don't see why it would except for some very minor bug fixes. It currently handles all the features originally planned for it. Are you asking for a feature request rather than an update?

I tried this but what happens is when I go to load the game, it literally loads slowly and then gives me an error. I'm on 5.1.0 fw and the botw files are 1.5 with dlc 3.0...just kind of curious as to what is going on. It doesnt even get to the title screen before it fails.

His source is available for download. Why doesn't someone with the skills download and modify it to add the features you were requesting in it? That would work.
