Can you post that config?
pastebin [DOT] com/QU7Mm1C1
If you're planning on using it save it and name it retroarch.cfg
Also I have snes9x2010.nro in "/switch/Emulators/snes9x2010/" and my SNES ROMS in "/switch/Roms/SNES/", the cfg is configured to point to these folders specifically

I havent had any issues saving. What seems to be your exact issue?
I was previously under the impression that a game wouldn't save natively unless you open the menu, close the content, then go back another menu to close the emulator, which to me was just a tad excessive, especially for RPGs where an airhead like me could lose a lot of invested time by doing something as simple as hitting the HOME button.

However M4XW explained that I only need to close the content for it to save, which is decent enough. After cleaning up the menus by disabling/hiding a bunch of stuff that doesn't really work (favorites/media player/etc) the menus are a lot cleaner now, so hopefully I won't accidentally lose any progress.

Ideally, I'd prefer saving in game to be enough, and not be required to fiddle with an emulator for the save to go through, but it seems like that's not possible atm.

He's talking about the fact that you have to open the menu and manually 'close content' as opposed to pressing the home button, etc. I'd imagine.

^ there you have it :P

Newest Threading Test builds:

https://git.m4xw.net/Switch/RetroArch/libretro-snes9x2010/-/jobs/353/artifacts/download
https://git.m4xw.net/Switch/RetroArch/VBA-Next/-/jobs/351/artifacts/download

They run stable for me in handheld and docked, just played chrono trigger half a hour and minish cap too.

Audio Issue might be slightly back but just ignore that (confirm that tho :P ), just wanna get it stable right now.

There is no bundled config (make sure if you overwrite there isnt one either), Vsync is on no matter what the option says and threaded is on by default.

ok so tested both cores, started with snes, played dkc2 long enough to save, saved, closed content loaded again played another stage, closed content,
exit retroarch, load vba next, load mmz, get to where they find zero and the enemies are attacking, crash.

edit: forgot to mention i started handheld, went docked, then when i saved pulled it from dock loaded vba next docked it then loaded mmz.

Ohh so he's just lazy. Got it
Forgetful is probably a better way to describe why I'm concerned. Not wanting to press a few buttons to save because it's too much effort would be appalling, rather, I'm worried I'd forget to press said buttons.

I don't appreciate the implied insult either.

I personally don't see it as too big of an issue. If we had to use Save states only then I might be concerned

Is there anyway to have a full screen in settings with snes9x2010?
Not yet, from what I've read it's a low priority feature

I'm an airhead with an awful memory, so I'm sure it's gonna be an issue for me. But again, there's likely nothing that can be done about it, so I'll have to deal with it.

@Starcarr Can you add threading and stability updates (if possible) to my Virtual Jaguar core plz? Here's the GitHub repo.
Otherwise, you can just add those to m4xw's GitLab repo.

We have already moved over that fork to our repo: https://git.m4xw.net/Switch/RetroArch/virtualjaguar-libretro
I will add the threading config and put the link here in 15 minutes or so.

@CatmanFan Here you go: https://git.m4xw.net/Switch/RetroAr...ifacts/feature/threading/download?job=package let us know if it works nicely.

I managed to compile the 3DO emulator but the controllers aren't working and the video is lagging. Going to continue to work on it tonight and tomorrow to see if I can get them working

Can you explain how you did it plz?

Also, @Starcarr I can confirm that Yabause displays the menu but none of the games (and even the BIOS) I tried work.

Also, just for fun, I tried to run the Jaguar BIOS ROM directly in Virtual Jaguar since it wouldn't load with the game even when I had the BIOS option turned on. Aaaand I got the Red Screen of Death. rip
