hi! I just factory reset my n3ds after installing and setting luma+ b9s , and I went back to the "Section III - Launching FBI" of the guide. Do I need to reinstall and run DSP1 again?

Im kinda confused here. I basically want CFW setup where I can boot off the EMUnand/ system SDcard or the R4iSDCH dual-core card and play 3DS games. That flash cart does support ntr I believe. But 3ds guide basically pointed out how to install on the SYSnand. Can someone refer a guide for my kind of required setup?

I am using a 2ds xl pokeball. My first ever nintendo console.

There's no reason to make an emunand, so just follow the guide to install cfw to sysnand.

Hello, a friend of mine is claiming to be on emunand version 11.2.0-35u and want to update his 3DS because some of his games are not working anymore.
What would be the easiest process to start from scratch and install CFW Luma through Soundhax exploit?

Is he running menuhax? In this case boot into sysNAND (take SD card out, turn on, put SD card back in) and uninstall menuhax (change the theme) then follow https://3ds.guide from the beginning.

Friend is very noobish in this domain :D Is there anything he could do to tell us what kind of CFW he's running?
Maybe a screenshot of the SD content?

Thanks for the reply :)

Will I be able to revert to OFW if I ever need to?

Suppose I want to sell my console to an official store, I dont want CFW there. So I was wanting EMUnand setup.

You would need to be hard on cash if ya were to plan on selling a 3ds to a store. and a EMUnand still requires cfw to set up and use.

CFW is installed to your system, having emuNAND will not help. If you removed your emuNAND you would just be running CFW on sysNAND instead (which is recommended anyway). You can uninstall CFW by following https://3ds.guide/uninstall-cfw except that it can be risky (if you installed any non legit system titles - they won't work without CFW and could prevent your system from booting or behaving correctly). You would get more money privately for a modded console anyway, so there's usually no reason to uninstall CFW.

Any good cheat plugins for luma CFW?

Also this is probably a stupid question but am I correct in assuming that game updates can be installed without negatively effecting CFW access? For such a long period of time I've kept my 3DS wireless off to protect against accidental updates. Just want to ensure that turning wireless on to install the update wont compromise the CFW.

that depends . . . what do you play?

correct (on both accounts)

if you have al9h or b9s then you are fine (also if you have al9h you should update to b9s)

yes that would be helpful

It's menuhax on 9.2 6 nand et 12.2 emunand with a9hl.
Can you guide me through the easiest step?

I read something in an another post, but there was 2 different answers so I don't know which is more exact and most-to-date.

I mean built in sound on mobo's has gotten way better but still XP handled sound better and X-Fi was still better than onboard audio even to this day

Hell not sure what was going on but for like a few weeks MP3's sounded muffled, some driver or Windows update fixed it. Thank god lol

I'd sooner buy the Meze 109 Pro if I was dropping that much on headphones. I don't even like buds/IEMs

I got the Google Pixel Pro buds, they're good enough for when I need portable audio. And some really cheap IEMs that Dankpods recommends, I think the KZ ZSN Pro

I'd stick with cheapo Chinese $10 ones quality is actually becoming on pair with name brand since name Brand usually quads the price up anyway loose one bud that's another $200
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
My Pixel Pro buds shit the bed a month or two ago. My wireless charger (which they do support Qi charging) absolutely COOKED them. Caused some problem that caused the case to heat up to 180F+
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
They were like 9 months out of warranty but I hit up Google support anyway and told them how hot they were getting and they replaced them with new ones because they wanted these for failure analysis lol

    lol wireless charging
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah that's why I can't bring myself to even spend $100 on wireless earbuds

I think it's a cool idea but damn
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Apparently the case has a problem with >15W wireless chargers. Google design fault, that one.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I could live with wireless charging if the damn standard case doesn't block connection
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    how is wireless charging possible?

    Copper conducting electricity or something
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@Xdqwerty, power through a coil of wire causes an electromagnetic field to be generated. Another coil of wire can be set up to harness the power from that electromagnetic field and turn it into usable energy for charging a device
