I think I just fucked up big time, followed the guide to restore my flashcard.

Everything went smoothly, or so I though, now every time I boot up the console I get a black screen and I’m not really sure about what to do besides regretting that I even bothered with it.

My card is a R4 3DS B9S, I downloaded the R4i-SDHC B9S backup listed on the guide and selected the R4 Family option on the flash menu, the progress bar filled pretty nicely, I don’t think there were any issues with the installation.

That sounds strange. Does it boot to Luma config if you hold select while booting?

Nope, still get the black screen.

Edited: Oh, it seems to boot up if I remove the R4 card though!

Edited 2: Inserting the card after booting up will freeze the console and force me to reboot without it.

Is he running menuhax? In this case boot into sysNAND (take SD card out, turn on, put SD card back in) and uninstall menuhax (change the theme) then follow 3ds guide from the beginning.

Yes it's menuhax with 9.2 6 nand? and 12.2 emunand on a9hl, if that make any sense!

So I just boot the 3DS with no card and then put the card back in, change theme to default theme (i imagine?) and then follow the 3ds Guide from the beginning, correct?

If they don't want to keep data from the previous hack (I heard sometime games downloaded on menuhax will freeze the 3DS on B9S?), can I format the SD card or should I not?

Does it boot to Luma config if holding select while booting? What options are checked?
What is the full system version it shows in the bottom right corner of the top screen in system settings?

I will be able to answer first question in a couple of days and for second question answer is : 11.2.0-35u
I'm pretty sure they meant 11.2 emunand, is that correct?

Crap, sorry I keep messing up with the quote system.

Nop, it doesn't blink, the issue itself seems to be in the R4 card, it boots normally without it and if I plug it back after booting, it will freeze the console.
Is there anyway to restore it to its previous state?

Edited: and again it didn't fucking quote your post @Uumas

Edited 2: derp, no wonder, I'm using multi quote instead of the normal/reply one.

would this card allow me to play DS games and Gameboy advance rom also?
the flashcard will allow ds roms and via emulation gb(c) gen nes roms (there is also a gba emulator ds homebrew but its limited) and the 3ds.guide site will set you up for 3ds roms (in cia format) and via vc nes gb(c) gba snes gen gg (just to name the basics)

that depends . . . what do you play?

correct (on both accounts)

if you have al9h or b9s then you are fine (also if you have al9h you should update to b9s)

-I'd be interested in trying out the Zelda games for 3DS. So any cheat plugins for that series would be appreciated.

-I have boot9strap. Just out of curiosity how does this program allow for continual updates of system firmware, while at the same time still having CFW access?

-Also is there any way to delete icons on the 3DS home screen?

because if you have b9s/a9lh then you (incredibly) likely use luma3ds, luma3ds has native firm protection (so it wont be overridden during an update) and b9s/a9lh rely on the native firm to boot luma3ds . . . the worst case is you brick your console during an update but here is where it gets good . . . you can via b9s/a9lh to boot custom code before the system even attempts to run the bricked firmware giving you the ability to restore/recover the system

two tips first always make a nand backup before making an update and second dont be rash come to gbatemp and read . . . if there is a new update there will always be a thread on gbatemp about what got patched and/or if its safe to update

-Also is there any way to delete icons on the 3DS home screen?
depends on the icon . . . do you have something in mind? (fyi the process of removing system/stock icons is not one i would recommend as it requires a custom system menu app and from what i have seen that can be . . . problematic)

Sorry if this was asked before, but I have a banned new 3ds (can use eShop, can't use friend list) and I'm thinking on trafering the NNID from it to a non banned N2DS.
1- Is it possible to do such a system transfer without hacking the target system?
2- Assuming 1 was a yes, in the end, the target system will be unbanned? or the ban will follow along?
3 - Assuming 2 was a no, can I do any hacks so that I can at least do the system transfer and link the nnid on the target N2DS?

Thanks in advance.
