My post never said they weren't connected to the old translation, but that the patch leak had nothing to do with them.
@riesyukira why do you care so much about my opinions? Just ignore me. I'm just stating my opinion and warning people away from a shoddy leaked patch that the current team never wanted released. You can just ignore me or block me if you don't want to see me talk.
I'm not being a buzz kill, I'm informing people there's a better patch coming that will actually make the game worth playing in English instead of this leaked patch that was released without permission.
But you
are being an obnoxious buzz kill.
You're shitting up the thread at this point. If you didn't notice, half the posts are yours repeating the exact same bullet points
"this sucks this sucks yadda yadda anyone thinking otherwise isn't a true fan, this shouldn't exist"
There's a line between stating an opinion and going full Jehova Witness propagandist every two posts.
And then you're having the gall to shut up someone else asking about a PSP patch for 3rd and say he's being off-topic.
Or should I say he's getting in the way of your topic derail?
Like, did you even see how are you behaving yourself here?
This patch definitely warrants discussion.
It's a way to play the first Crossbell game in English to completion, and anything helps considering how kanji-heavy it is even for someone trying to play it in Japanese.
It's fan-sub tier but not Hong Kong bootleg sub tier by any stretch.
It's almost complete.
It's not machine translated.
It's not riddled with game breaking bugs.
People didn't even know about its existence.
It's as "ruining the game forever" as the average subbed youtube videos for these games (sometimes translated through Chinese and yet people eat that up because they crave the game)
People are shelling dollars for
official localizations much worse than this if it means they get to play the damn thing in English and understand the general plot.
People other than you can have different preferences.
On this very forum, people are happy enough to play menu translations of games they love.
Who are you to tell those people they're
1/ not true fans
2/ "encourage bad translations" (or are you entitled the masses getting behind your boycotts and preferences and anyone not helping you is your enemy?)
3/ better pretend this doesn't exist shoo shoo scram already go away
It wasn't really released "without permission" if it was a cancelled early draft that went nowhere and the "bad" translator was okay with it (but somehow we're supposed to care about him if it serves your agenda that this shouldn't EXIST).
You're being really transparent at your attempts to derail and poison this discussion, and spreading misinformation about this translation (incomplete, unauthorized...) and even stifling discussion of other hacks while you deem the OTHER Zero no Kiseki translation (which
you made a point
being a separate project) must become the central discussion focal point.
You're also being a hindrance to other people asking about this patch, or how much of it is playable.
You're doing a major disservice to the other translation project for this same game (which covers the PC and PSP versions so that's already a plus).
Do you throw fits like this at people daring to play the Evo versions too if, god forbid, they're not to your personal taste?
