I grew up with Zsnes and NESticle. Haha! Good ol' times. I've always hated Snes9x but I guess i'll slowly drift towards it.
Make sure to point out that it will support homebrew rpx files, NOT game rpx files. Just in case people think that this is promoting piracy or something. Unfortunately, in its current state Loadiine supports loading rpx files from the games folder, which may not be the best folder description to use if it starts being widely used for homebrew.Okay everyone, after talking to @brienj I have been convinced of the importance of RPX files.
I guess even though the current setup to run ELFs via HBL is highly reminiscent of the Wii's HBC, RPX files still offer advantages, even when loaded through Loadiine.
I've made an issue for downloading/managing RPX files through the app store, and am open to hearing implementation suggestions. Currently, I'm picturing they would be downloaded directly into sd:/wiiu/games/ for Loadiine, just as the ELFs are downloaded directly into sd:/wiiu/apps for HBL.
I'm posting this update as there are some 3DS app downloaders that only support .3dsx and not .cia, but I'd rather keep HBAS as "modern" as possible, in that it should support any future better environments so long as they offer advantages.
Have you considered using the WUT format?Okay everyone, after talking to @brienj I have been convinced of the importance of RPX files.

Space Game: Loadiine Edition (coming soon™, maybe). I probably should've started with Snake.Have you considered using the WUT format?
I remember with the Wii, that HBC was able to load both ELF and DOL files. Maybe HBL will include support for RPX homebrew in the future, but for now Loadiine GX2 does the job. RPX homebrew will also render HBL useless once an IOSU exploit is released, as we can install RPX homebrew straight to the Wii U Menu.I guess even though the current setup to run ELFs via HBL is highly reminiscent of the Wii's HBC, RPX files still offer advantages, even when loaded through Loadiine.
Do you need any help with the port to rpx? I understand if you want to do it on your own, but I can help if you need it. I can even help convert it to GX2 graphics, I've actually been thinking of doing this for his project, it's perfect for it, and not in the normal easy way of converting either, like I did on some others like the CHIP-8 Emulator.Space Game: Loadiine Edition (coming soon™, maybe). I propose to make this the official HBAS, those gradients look awesome. So does the background!
