I noticed there's a lot of different listings on Amazon for a Wii 2 HDMI type adapter, which I'm currently interested in getting.

Does anyone here on the temp have one of these? I'd like to try to make sure I get something that won't fall apart on me or die after a month or two.

This is the one I'm currently looking at getting.

(Along with the cheap HDMI cable and Audio Cable Included)

I have one actually, don't remember the exact brand, but I got one off of Amazon, gets the job done pretty well :P

I have one of those Wii2HDMI adapters, works great easy to setup.
Only the picture output is a bit soft, but there is no noise in the picture.
Like when you using component cables.

I have the Neoya Wii2HDMI, which deliberately does not upscale (see FAQ in product's page for reasoning). Very happy with it.

When I received it it actually did not work. Contacted them and they sent another trusting I was being honest without requiring me to send the first one back first or afterwards, which I appreciated.

i would recommend playing it in 480p itself. It is said that playing games in HD damages or makes wii very hot.

Please stop making up stuff that has no basis in reality. This is a common feature in pretty much all of your posts that I've read so far.

These are all external upscalers that upscale the image *after* it's output by the Wii. It doesn't force the Wii to produce a 720p or 1080p image, which isn't possible to begin with.

but when used for more than one hour the plastic of the upscaler or however you wanna call it melted a bit...
the wii was fine though, but i drilled a few holes in the housing of the upscaler and never noteced it overheated again, so... it's possible but unlikely to do harm...

That's the upscaler unit itself, not the Wii, and that seems odd because that one doesn't do any upscaling; it's just a basic ADC.

like i said, it's still working after 3 years now with a few ventilation holes though... mine had no brand on it and when connecting it said 1080p but the colors and text are about the same so... it'm not sure if it's the same origin just the picture looks the same.
