Well since dstwo plus uses gateway launcher.dat (and gateway added bricking code)

So do you need the extra CPU or get gateway and get both red and blue cards

You get MAYBE better GBA and SNES emulation for classic DS and DS mode on 3DS... But The resolution sucks for SNES. GBA is best on a gba sp ags 101, perfect screen for it.

You can use its other features pretty well, but I guess that's not what you want. Why don't you just set up a CFW?
I already have rxtools set up. I have like 30 3ds games (physical carts). I wanted a way to back them up and play them through one cart. Like you can carry all of your DS games on the dstwo. I have a regular dstwo by the way.

You can backup your games onto your 3DS' internal SD card too!

At least there aren't 5 versions of GW, I use it for years now without a problem, can run everything and can use 2 micro SD ports and don't need to install CIA's for long times...

You can dump your games to .3DS files, convert them to .CIA and install them directly to your SD card.

It's a longer process, but it's free.

I think you can use gw menu and back up all your games without having gw. Gw is only needed to get into gw mode.

Then convert your games to cia using rxtools and 3ds to cia converter. After than you have all your games on your homemenu nice and orderly. Yeah it takes 10-20min to install Each game but once done you can have your ds card and 3ds games all the time.

You can also use Uncart to backup your games (To avoid Gateway's software entirely)

Oh wow! I didn't know you could do that. Thanks for the info. Hmm. I guess I'll have to upgrade my SD card to 64gb then. I don't think 32 will be enough.

Be sure to format your 64GB SD to FAT32! The 3DS doesn't support exFAT. Also, you can download .cia files/installers of games you own (and even of those you don't...) from a certain ISO site.

While true that's illegal in most countries. Nintendos website says you can back up your own carts incase the original is destroyed. They also feel emulators are illegal. So eh.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol

I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol

So that version is semi rare
