An update on my progress: I have successfully connected to the wiki and I've pulled the info into my app just like the old GUI. I'm now working on pulling the version info from Nintendo directly, but I've found that attempting to look up the info from the site you gave me pops up with a 403 error, saying that I don't have access. Is my format wrong, or did Nintendo block us from attempting to extract info from them?

EDIT: If it is my format, then would you provide an example?

When going to
Code:
https://tagaya.wup.shop.nintendo.net/tagaya/versionlist/USA/US/latest_version
It tells me "your connection is not private." I click proceed anyways, and it downloads a text file with a number.

Put that number into the URL
Code:
https://tagaya.wup.shop.nintendo.net/tagaya/versionlist/USA/US/list/XXXX.versionlist
And it should download the actual version list.

You'd then have to parse that list by Title ID. Note that this should only provide the latest update versions though, so it would kind of be like using NUSGrabber without any version input at all...? You'd almost need to download every XXXX.versionlist and have it compare and compile a list of all changes.

I tried doing this on my phone and it won't allow me to download either file. Last time I did it it worked from a PC browser though. Can you replicate that before getting it to work through your program?

Let me try...

EDIT: Yes, it worked! Thanks for the demonstration. I can get it from here. I hope to be done with this soon :)

I look forward to it, that will make so many things SO much simpler (namely updating and knowing for certain which version is latest without jumping through hoops)

Hi. I have an Australian Wii-U: Mario Kart 8 Premium Pack bought in November 2015 (however, how new or old the stock was, I don't know.)

Is it safe for me to hook up my Wii-U to the TV, just to see what firmware it has?

Would there be any way for it to update, other than putting in a retail disc or typing in my Wifi settings?

Sorry for the newbie question. I have successfully hacked into and played backups on 3 Wii consoles a few years ago, but the Wii-U is all new to me.

Yes, it's safe; just don't put a disc in and don't add a network connection (unplug your router entirely if you're unsure if it's already connected), and you'll be able to go to Settings to see the FW.

Taken into consideration.

EDIT: @GamingAori If I change around some things, would you think that an open list of titles (like what I have) or a drop down list would be better?

EDIT2: Here is another update on the look of the GUI, based on 2 suggestions.
NUSGrabber2.JPG

Is it possible to make this just grab (or sort) the meta folder for future use, maybe a seperate tab?

I personally prefer the 1st layout, but if it works I really don´t care about colors.

(edit) Just noticed no decrypt option. So this is just for WUP? if so sorry, ignore the whole meta folder crap.

Yes, the vWii and Wii U are two separate things. However, I don't know why you'd necessarily want to update if it patches any exploits.

k thanks, and its unlikely there will be updates for the vWii, so its safe to do.
can i make a backup of vwii, so if i brick, i reset?
