Thanks for the link I appreciate it! I've actually tried it and have had issues along with the other tutorial on that section. Part of the reason I was asking was if there was another one since the nightly builds keep getting updated, and there is a lot of confusion in the thread.

Part of the reason for asking is when I see posts like

You can't say that. He could be trying to set up for the first time, using the latest nightly. Hint: It's currently broken on N3DS

I wonder if it is either something in the tutorial is outdated or whether I'm just doing something wrong. So I was just asking a question. Sorry if I offended you, I have tried a number of times before. In fact, in one of the tutorial threads I did reply and try to resolve the issue but ultimately dropped doing it at the moment for more pressing life matters.

I'll go at it again, thanks for the help.

The tutorial IS outdated again and @tivu100 is assuming too damn much. First off, it tells you to use the latest nightly, which will never work for the N3ds. Second, it mentions the 0004013820000002orig.bin. (which has changed AT LEAST TWICE since the latest official rxtools release, the first change being to 0004013820000002.bin, and god only knows what it needs to be right now). Perhaps if the tutorial linked to the last working build that used 0004013820000002orig.bin instead of saying to grab the latest nightly, his argument would be valid...

Thanks for the kind reply. I appreciate the useful information, what would be the last stable build for N3DS then or perhaps a place that contains that info? I would really like to get it working.

I didn't get offended. You just need to state what confused you. You could have just asked what build is best for N3DS at the moment and people will point you to it. Once you get a working build on your system update is easy, before you update you can just ask again whether the newer build is good for your 3DS. This thread is for that purpose: keep people updated about rxTools development. The OP of those tutorial are regular on this thread.

Read the above. I keep saying just doing the basic set up first and asking when have question, when it come to rxTools build, it's already very last part of the set up. Basic set up is always set up EMUNAND; get FBI into EMUNAND & SYSNAND; way to boot into rxTools.

That's kind of what I was asking. A comprehensive set of information to set this up. Would you be able to help me then? I would like to know what the last stable build for the N3DS is and should I trust the new re-naming conventions or not?

Back on page 681 (this thread moves fast): "rxTools_10-02-15_19-07.9f48bb8 is working on n3DS for me". Finding it is another issue. I haven't updated my N3DS in a while so perhaps I can copy the files and PM you a zip a few hours later (I'm in Japan and at work...) during my lunch if nobody can give you a link before that. There are also links to working builds in dropbox accounts and such. I'll see if I can find one and update this post.

Update (also on page 681): https://www.dropbox.com/sh/blmecish...v4F5a/rxTools_10-02-15_19-07.9f48bb8.zip?dl=0

Thanks I greatly appreciate it. But don't worry to much, I don't want to burden you. I'll give it a crack in searching through the rxTools repository for that particular date, and try to set thing up again.

Thanks for your time!

Already found it. Post above updated with link. With that, the tutorial should work for you.

Build October 02. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/blmecish9rb1r87/AACOS5s8u0xucXy59vZk6i1pa?dl=0

It is the advised build for N3DS at the moment. Last time I renamed the bin same as the tutorial and it works perfect on my friend N3DS Europe. The thing is if it has changed, that won't be an issue. You can renamed it ask here for the developers of the rxTools for accurate response.

I have to repeat myself again, this is the last part and easiest part. You can worry about it later once you have other things correctly set up.

Does that work?
The main part of rxTools is not in the 3dsx though, it's in rxTools\sys\code.bin. Unless you update that file, you haven't actually updated rxTools. And I figured it would start the data initialization step again if I updated the files.
It works fine with 10.2 emuNAND, so I don't see much reason to update when the version I'm using works just fine.

The old 3dsx has a low boot rate, the newer one boots almost all the time for me. Regardless if it actually added more patches or not. It still works better :)

I'm not even using the 3dsx :P
I load the code.bin directly through CtrBootManager and the boot rate is 100% with themehax 2.1.

Has anyone typed up a guide to autoboot into rxTools?

I'm on O3DSXL 9.2.0-20. I have CN with Ninjhax 2.5. I have the last Roxas version of RxTools before he left the scene (There wasn't really a need for me to update. I have 100% boot success rate right now into emuNAND 10.2).

I've never tried to install themehax and I've never messed with ctrbootmanager either. I've been using the browser all this time to get into RxTools, which is just one tap (Browser button), but zero taps would be nice so I don't risk my sysNAND receiving the update nag.

I do this too on my nephews O3DS, and notice high success boot rate (I had 100% boot rate. Not sure about my nephew experience though).

I helped another person to install themehax few days ago. So follow the post.

Disconnect your wifi (!important) and go to recovery mode to delete update snag.

For my several O3DS 9.2.0-20Js, CtrBootManager 100% boots.
But the f***ing themehax always freezes.

It may be caused by the unstable of either the 9.2.0-20J theme file or the payload, I think.
