Woah, my 3ds looks exactly like this one. Well thank you. And is a 60 watt soldering iron a bit too hot for 3ds? What soldering iron is best for this job? Also is it better to use soldering paste or desoldering braid?

I just installed mset exploit JUST before i updated accidentally, will it work on 9.9? If it works i will be surprised.
And i updated in rxmode by the way

Is it better to pay for service or solder myself? And also is it worthwhile selling my old 3ds and buying a new 3ds model

If you have problems with the mod then let someone who has done them before do it. idk who does it in your country but its better to pay for it if you dont have or know the skills needed too well

I'm on 9.2.0-10E (with the browser from 20E installed via CIA) and I can't boot Emunand on the latest nightly (I can boot rxmode sysNAND happily), any idea what might be borking it ? The EmuNAND itself seems fine since I can launch it through Gateway. I've tried with and without slot0x25KeyX.bin.

I don't really recommend desoldering the cartridge slot. Just flip the board and solder a thin wire to the alternative point there (also don't disconnect the screens, just flip everything together carefully... those connectors are fragile).
A 60W iron might be OK if you're fast enough. You better have some flux to clean everything before too.

Soldering paste sure helps. Use it if you can.

Well thanks for all of your suggestions, but i will hunt for a new 3ds that has a firmware version 9.2 or lower and try to get rid of o3ds and if i cant find that n3ds then i will try to fix the o3ds

Did you try an older version of rxTools? Does it work?

Yes, 2.6 works (without slot0x25keyX.bin but with firmware.bin in the root.

Hmm, maybe I got the firmware.bin file mixed up while I was going back and forth between versions. I'll get the one that I generated using the nightly python script and check again.
