When you consider Splatoon's around 1GB (at launch, without any DLC/Updates) it's sort of big for a platformer.

But this is Nintendo, and they are normally very efficient regarding use of space.
(What the hell do you use 60GB on anyway... 8K textures? Hell, that game doesn't look that good)

I suppose they are going to release a Wii U with internal HDD or at least something bigger than 32GB.
That would be logical if they discontinuing the 8GB model, and so big eshop games wouldn't be a PITA.
(because seriously, we all probably have an HDD with external PSU or a Y-Cable... but having additional shit using USB ports and hanging out of the console is not an optimal solution)

Well the 32gb only has 25 usable.
Personally just adding 320gb HDD would be good since the newer ps3 do that and coated about thee same new as a wiiu

That's a good endorsement to keep buying physical copies. I have an unopened 4TB external HDD, in case I do have to resort to downloading titles. Still prefer the physical format though.

I guess those both do make sense. I honestly think it's a lil' bit too big for a downloadable game, especially because it seems as if most people have the 8GB model. I guess it may not be too bad if you have external HDDs or SSDs for you to run it off of.

I can imagine how gross and untidy it looks having a bunch of cables hanging out of your Wii U. The Wii U has it's USB ports on the front, right?

I also prefer owning physical copies over digital copies. One reason would be because if you happen to dislike a game, you can sell it on eBay or Amazon or something. Also, you can resell physical copies in the future once they have a higher value.

People do, but still complain because it looks awful and is a very non-optimal solution.
I don't know how to say this in English or even on neutral Spanish, but we in Argentina would say it is "just kept tied together with wire" (from falling apart).

Let's not talk about buying something I already have, but let's talk about something more realistic.
Let's hypothesize: If I was to give a Wii U as a gift to someone and I had to buy a new one, I would buy the on with the internal HDD even if that option is more expensive.

That is what I actually use (only it is 32GB and should be upgraded soon). I find that big USB sticks are expensive as hell, and the beautiful Wii U not letting you plug two smaller ones simultaneously doesn't help.
