All I know is it has something to do with 3DNUS. A shame it doesn't work on the 9.0 as that is what my system originally was.

I tried using yifan's method of spoofing the update server and ended up with tears, loss of sleep and a 9.7 sysNAND with no hardmod which is now basically useless

You of course have a backup of your sysnand. Just pay someone to do a hardmod. Someone on here does it for about $10 + ship

I just encountered some problem and not sure if anyone here has encountered it? After spoofing eshop and downloading a couple of updates, i now seem to be unable to boot back into Sysnand using Gateway card. It gets me a black screen when i boot up Gateway mode. I did a test by deleting away some of the updates in Data management but its still the same. In the end, i did a system format and on a clean system, i am now able to boot into sysnand on Gateway mode again.

So are there any do's and do not's with this eshop patch? I am on gateway and use cias to instal homebrew, games and patches, I read somewhere going into eshop on emunand or sysnand will mess with these cias or something? Or can I do whatever and be safe? This seems like a godsend for N3DS really, are we limited in any way compared to having official 9.7 at this point?

is it possible that, while I'm downloading stuff from the eShop, my N3DS downloads the new firmware update? Or is this also spoofed? Cause I want to download a whole lot and I'm afraid to get the update nag afterwards.

that's no problem even if it did happen. you can get rid of the nag.

How? I thought you can only get rid of it by formatting the 3DS, which would mean I lose my games I just downloaded.

Do you have a hardmod on your N3DS?
The process is untested, it may be dangerous.

-Download the 9.2 update CIAs with 3DNUS (don't forget to select N3DS)
-Install them with FBI (you will have a lot of "already installed")
