He swears he's not going to delay to 2015 but that's exactly what i think he'll end up doing.
I don't really care when it comes out - it's his software. I'd rather have it later and working well than sooner and awkward to use. It'll be out when it's done.

Exactly. Though, I'm probably more easily patient about it since I'm on 4.5 and I don't need this exploit.

Which, if the case, I think is bullshit. Why should we have to wait till the new 3DS models; we know it works on them, so for those who already have a 3DS/XL why should they way till who knows when? I just...don't want him to not release it, you know? Is it so wrong for 3DS owners to want a soft mod for once?
He'll release it soon. He said he will not wait for an American release of the N3DS. He has nothing to delay it for.

But not everyone has a new 3DS and it's not out in the NA yet, those who have a 3DS shouldn't have to wait till Spring/Summer 2015 or whenever they come out. It works on the new 3DS, that's good, but still.

The only reason I can come up with would be that the exploit could potentially be patched in an upcoming firmware that would be packed with the New 3DS's North American release. Would suck if the US was the only country without homebrew.

Who would be dumb enough to do that for homebrew? He's not delaying it to 2015, as it says in his Twitter posts somewhere a while back, that much we know, for those who have regular 3DS/XL devices, why should they have to wait? They won't, I just hope some idiot doesn't ask him to delay the release like they did a month or so ago.
The exploit will be patched in one of the next updates, likely the next one. It could easily turn into a Gateway situation, and I don't know if we have enough access to allow online access on lower FW or FW spoofing.
I don't think you guys understand what I'm saying. If he releases the exploit now, it'll get patched in a heartbeat. Considering the "New" 3DS doesn't come out in America until sometime next year, I would expect it to be bundled with a higher firmware that blocks smea's exploit. Of course it will be patched eventually, but hopefully not until it's supported on all available 3DS devices. The more users we have, a higher chance of progress on the homebrew front!

But we don't know when in 2015 we will get it, not everyone is gonna get a new 3DS though, more people have the XL or original. I still think it would be BS to have to wait to whenever the hell US gets it.
