uh, i don't get this, i downloaded both BEAT and XDELTA and... uh, i don't see how to progress here.
The beat patch apparently couldn't be extracted, but there is folder here anyways. it has a readme file and the game's cover.
the Xdelta has the same things plus a PDf file named "AAI2 Whole thing CMYK"
what do i do?
You read readme or first post in this thread and find this:
3) How to patch it??
First of all you need the ROM of the game (don't ask us where to get it, Google is your friend).
Remember to keep a copy of the clean ROM for future patches (we have yet to decide if we will make a progressive patch or you will always need to use a clean ROM.
For this patch we offer you 2 patch formats:

For BEAT, choose the BEAT download link, decompress the patch, run BEAT, press "Apply patch", choose your .nds file and your .bps file, then "Patch" when you finish, play it on emu or transfer to your micro SD card.
For Xdelta, choose the Xdelta download link, decompress the patch, run Xdelta UI, select your ROM, select the patch, then "Patch" when you finish, play it on emu or transfer to your micro SD card.

MultiPatch is your friend to patch the ROM.

Can someone help me? I had a save file (on desmume 0.9.8) where I had completed all 3 cases on the previous patch.
I downloaded this patch, applied it to a clean rom file, and tried to play it. I then loaded my save, when I clicked on something or pressed any buttons it crashed. If the game was in the middle of an automated sequence or something it crashes, if i perform a soft reset it behaves as if I haven't even started case 1 when I have finished the first three.
I did everything as instructed and loading the save from the previous patch results in either a crash or a loss in all progress. I am using desmume 0.9.8, although I have tried 0.9.9 and had the exact same results. I would try no$gba, but every attempt I have made to convert my save has ended in failure.
I would like to resolve this very much as I have been waiting for this for a while. An alternative to this would be if someone gave me an action replay code to use which unlocked all of the cases (this way I wouldn't need my save that doesn't work)

Ah good, someone else with an R4i. Have you encountered these two minor quirks?
1) When a character is in the middle of dialog, and a new BGM is starts up, things pause for a quick second it feels like. The sound effects don't stutter, it's just the character's animation/dialog pauses a bit. I can't remember if this existed in previous games. I'll test it out on a different flash card later, maybe it's just the R4i not loading fast enough?
2) Occasionally I'm given the option to fast forward through text, which traditionally isn't possible unless you've seen that dialog before, or you're replaying that part of the game. Otherwise it's locked out entirely. It's noticeable if I tap with the stylus cause it can fast forward it easily.
