I am having a hard time finding a clear cut way on how to do this. I saw there is a guide in Wii tutorials section using the USB loader called USB loader Gx but I want to use wiiflow to play wiiware/VC games. So far I have installed the home brew channel, backed up my NAND, extracted my NAND to my external hdd, installed cios, and installed wiiflow. I did this all using a few different YouTube guides and internet guides. I suspect this involves the Showmiiwads program with my extracted NAND but I don't know where to go from there. What specifically do I have to do to run wiiware/VC games in Wiiflow on vWii on the Wii U?

There's probably a tutorial in the Wii section on this, as it's the same process (from the point you're currently at), but really you've done most of the leg work already ;)

Yep, Showmiiwads is now used... It sounds like you've extracted your nand using Wiiflow? Install showmiiwads to your comp, point it in the direction of your emunand folder on your hdd, bung all the VC/WW you want into one folder (unless you're after 100s, then I'd split them into groups of around 20 or so), then install them all to your emunand. Sounds like you're clued up enough to figure out the rest.
Note1: if your VC/WW doesn't show (or shows blank) when selected in showmiiwads they'll be in 'Read Only' - uncheck each one then try again (that one did my nut in for a while if I remember! )
Note2: Many N64 VC/some WW won't run in emunand - you may want to go the neek2o route for those...

Update. I created an emunand through Wiiflow and I installed me wiiware games to the emunand in Showmiiwads but they are not showing up in wiiflow. I have two regular wii games that I have on my external hdd that show up in wiiflow but the wiiware games do not.

When I used Showmiiwads, I opened the folder containing the wiiware and loaded them in showmiiwads, then I right clicked on each game file, the menu popped up and I selected extract -> to NAND. When I went to "view -> showmiinand", my wiiware games showed up in the list. Did I install my wiiware correctly to my emunand? If I did, is there another reason why my wiiware games are not showing up in wiiflow?

Thanks for the help demaker. I will try this out for sure. Maybe this guide could be added to the tutorials section.

I followed this tutorial to the tee and I got through all the steps fine until I tried to load Sneek in the homebrew channel and when I load it it just says "waiting for ARM to reset PPC". I uninstalled and reinstalled everything, going through all the steps three different times and kept having the same problem when I tried to load Sneek.

I am just having no luck with the guide. I have followed the guide to the letter 5 times, uninstalling and then reinstalling everything each time and I get the same "waiting for ARM to reset PPC message" when loading up sneek. I am using Windows 7 64 bit home premium edition so it is possible that my version of windows does not work well with this process.

Might be a stupid question, but do you have a copy of your vWII NAND on the root of the SD?

Hmm. I can't even get Wiiflow to load WW. It'll see it just fine, but just black screens. Works fine if I launch Sneek from HBC.

How large/what is SHA of your compiled bin file?

Meant the kernel.bin that was compiled. Seems really large.

I have a couple hours to give this a try, I'll start from scratch and dump my own NAND and recompile vWii Sneek.

Okay... anyways. My compiled kernel.bin is 214KB.

I'm sure you followed this link to compile your copy of the SNEEK.
http://www.hacksden.com/showthread.php/8119-Compiling-a-vWii-compatible-version-of-SNEEK

First make sure your dump is in the root of the SD card. (Not inside a folder called NANDS or PL_US).. so the root of your SD should have the import, meta, shared1, etc..
Launch HBC and run SNEEK. You should get the "Waiting for ARM to reset PPC" - this takes about 5 seconds. The screen should black out and boot into your NAND on the SD card (I removed all my forwarders on the NAND so I could easily see)

From there I was able to launch my WW. I'll try WiiFlow again, but that's where I ran into trouble last time.

I can configure Wiiflow to see the NAND on the SD, but launching anything just black screens anyway.

Sorry, I misunderstood. My compiled kernel.bin is 213kb.

This may have been where I went wrong. I created my nand dump with fstoolbox and the dump files were on SD card but in the "FSTOOLBOX" folder and not directly in the root and not being inside another folder like you are saying. When you create a nand dump with Fstoolbox it automatically puts the dump files inside the "FSTOOLBOX" folder.

Yep, that's where I went wrong originally. With that setup, you should be able to launch Sneek from HBC and boot into your NAND and run everything fine.

As far as Wiiflow? I've never had any luck running anything from an EmuNAND in it on vWii.

I tried moving the contents of my fstoolbox nand dump from the fstoolbox folder to the root of my sd card and it still made no difference. I am still getting the "Waiting for ARM to reset PPC" message and it doesn't go away. Not sure what else to do.
