As great a company Nintendo is, it's not a savior for every thing, especially Crash. I would have said Sony as the majority of that franchises games were on the Playstation.

And... Not to be a negative nancy, but no one is really going to take your petition too seriously as everyone is using the website for everything.

...Why get one of the worlds greatest game developers to create a game based around a half assed, dead character that only 20-something core gamers will have any real sense of fondness for in the first place... Don't recall Naughty Dog making any sort of effort to keep him 'in their books'
As for Nintendo taking him instead, seriously, WTF......

I was really tempted to start a change.org petition for Sony or Microsoft to purchase the Mario IP in response, but I figured it'd be disrespectful to the OP so instead I'm just going to say that Crash doesn't seem like a typical Nintendo IP and it'd be handled far better by Sony - the company where it started off. Naughty Dog could do wonders with it as they have in the past.

Because in the intervening years, anyone of any real creative importance in Naughty Dog at the time of Crash's high point in the early days has moved on to other things. It's like how people want Rare as it exists today to pick up Banjo, Conker etc. and I don't get it at all. Neither of them are the same company they were back then, they exist solely as brand names. If they could get Andy and Jason working on it to any significant degree, that'd be another story enirely. I agree with you re: Spyro though

I'd only want Crash to be revived if they scrapped the history of the games as they've gone on and rebooted from the beginning again, just Crash, Cortex, N Brio, MAYBE Coco. No gimmicks, old artstyle, focus on straight platforming and collecting. Hell, make it a Vita exclusive and there's your killer app to push your flailing handheld.
