What app are these for? Will it work on USB Loader GX? Wii64? Snes9x? or WiiFlow only? and how do you set them up? they have to be named exactly like the ROM? and in the same folder? different folder? Thanks.
This is Wiiflow cover thread. Covers are already properly named, create a subfolder for each system in root:/Wiiflow/boxcovers/ and place there your covers. Configure each plugin .ini file writing that subfolder name after coverFolder=
Example for NES with fceugx plugin:
place nes covers in
root:/Wiiflow/boxcovers/fceugx
in root:/Wiiflow/Plugins
edit fceugx.ini like this: coverFolder=fceugx
You won't find any. Mame-wii doesn't have this driver. I tried to compile with it some time ago, mk1 is rather slow but almost(?) playable. Forget about mk2 though (oh no !!).
These covers from you and Tetsuo are funny by the way, thanks.
Yes most of those flyers from the 80ies and 90ies are funny, that was really another era
It's a pity that some games won't run on the wii, I'd really like to have in my coverflow games like F1Gp, Wonderboy 2, Splatterhouse, Raiden and Golden Axe 2: RODA.
I'm hoping in a Mame core for Retroarch-wii to improve compatibility, the devs said it was on the works.
Nice work there Tetsuo! I thought about using that flyer first but decided against it. But since you made this one look hella good, I went and replaced it with mine.
Thanks Wiimpathy for the driver info. Hadn't I known that before then I wouldn't have wasted some time trying to find the one that worked.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA LMFAO!! Yes look at the hightop yellow outfit the girls is wearing, or the mullet on the kid with pants that look like they belong in Tron! Classic 90's all the way, man I can tell you I never looked like that XD Thx for the covers guys, this will be great to show off to friends for a laugh
well, yes Konami wins in terms of thrashness.
Did you check the girl who plays Ripley in aliens and April in tmnt? Same girl just with different wig... wtf they had the alien license but not for Sigourney Weaver!
not to mention the turtles in time flyer.. are those malformed turtles supposed to be ninja?

Those might just be the fugliest and creepiest looking turtles I've ever seen.. they're meant to frighten prior to fighting. Good catch on the Konami chick, I didn't even notice lol.
Pretty chick if you ask me, at least prettier than Sygourney Weaver
Man, Wiiflow is not only a great loader, it's a true journey across pop sub-culture
Not sure if anyone's interested, but while poking around trying to setup mame via WiiFlow Mod I decided to work on the mame covers problem and came up with this basic but fast solution.
I took the CA_Mame.jpg default cover and cropped it to just a front (not full) cover and called it my "template" for photoshop. I then took Hyperspin Wheel Images (game title logos) and layered them on top of the front-only cover template and saved them as a 2D cover for WiiFlow. WiiFlow Mod then layered that 2D cover on top of the full generic cover seamlessly and made it appear that each cover was a full boxcover based on the generic one.
The easiest way i found to do it was to use "FuzzyRenamer" and point it to my wii mame roms and then my hyperspin wheel images and have it copy the relevant ones to a new folder and rename them to rom.zip.png in the process. Then I made 2 photoshop actions. the first increased the canvas size on the transparent backed wheel images to the exact dimensions of my front cover template on every wheel image copy. The second then placed the template as a new layer in the re-canvased wheel images, moved it to the back, flattened and then saved the result.
I dropped those "2D Covers" in the appropriate location in WiiFlow and used the default emuflow in WiiFlow Mod which focuses on the fronts of the cases (since all the spines still just say MAME and the backs are generic).
I know this isn't a "pretty" solution but it helps someone like me with OCD get by untill a few hundred nicer covers get made (if ever) for mame roms.
Here are some samples.
P.S.: I know it's not the correct thread to ask, but I have two mame questions I would like answered...
1) What version of the roms does WiiFlow Mod's "wii-mame" use and should it be split or merged sets?
2) How do you get past the warning screen where is says to move joystick left and right for OK? (Tried dpad on wiimote and classic controller's dpad and analog sticks to no avail)
That is a great pic you have for the front of the cover man, it looks sick and thanks for the DosBox covers too, they look great. I checked them out and they're already 1024x680, but Heretic isn't, was that on purpose? I already changed the resolution with faststone viewer so that it fits in nicely with the rest of the covers anyway but just wanted to know if it loses it's ratio that way? Nice job again.
Abz damn man you work fast! thanks for getting those up so quickly big guy, they're awesome and they complete my set of ScummVM games 100% thus far woot! woot!
I'll get everything added and updated eventually, I've been outta town for the last week. Also, I'll add a section for doom/quake/nxengine/residualvm soon with the covers everyone put together.
I guess it's time to start on the Amstrad CPC (wiituka) set too.. covering the basic download pack shouldn't be too bad. I have a couple add-ons i put together a while back too, so i'll do those as well (gotta have thundercats!). Found 1 right quick when i got home, and did a quick cleanup job for a preview. I'll try 'n get on these.

Thanks and yeah the res on heretic was out I found the cover on some site and edited it but forgot to change the size I hope it fits ok and the spine does not overlap. Let me know if it does and I'll edit it.
Here are a few more covers:- Abz inspired me to work on some discworld covers their not great and the spines may be out(I cannot test at the mo because I'm on holiday and don't have my wii/wiiu with me.
I'm working on a 7th Guest cover and hopefully post it here later.
Abz your discworld 2 cover is awesome I love the luggage even if not a big fan of Rincewind
