While Ubisoft recently announced its new booty-plundering Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, another image from a different Assassin's Creed leaked, named "Assassin's Creed: Rising Phoneix"

The image is rather scarce and is apparently from Ubisoft Digital Arts. This recently formed studio is meant to handle Ubisoft's games-to-films projects, with Assassin's Creed announced to be getting its own flick several months ago.

However, Ubisoft also alluded to another Assassin's Creed game this year for the Vita, following last year's Assassin's Creed: Liberation. Could this be the next Vita iteration?

Wait.. Rising Phoenix? But... I thought the Assassin's.. went... with Eagles?

BAD GUYS POINT OF VIEW CALLING IT NOW!

The image is plastered with Abstergo flags hanging from the inside of what looks like a bunker or some sort of complex.

Possibly the modern day Assassin's Creed we've been waiting for? That doesn't involve Desmond?

More Assassin's Creed? .-. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the games, but they are making them way too fast now, they to seriously slow down on these games and give some breathing room between releases, maybe even start some other games between releases or something.

Assassin's Creed: WWII.

Though the future/"present" sections dodge around it I am curious as to how they would work it- proper firearms (which is to say not muskets as seen in the most recent title) being a fairly noted part of world war 2 would be far harder for me to stomach and them to handwave than "the guy was so good that no lasting injuries from swordfighting were sustained".

This game looks boring....I reckon they should have followed that one artist's idea about assassin's creed in Japan or China w/e.

damn artwork looks so awesome.

I never quite understood the premise of the series, I have no idea why they're using the Animus as a plot device. I mean, if you completely scrap the whole "in the near future!" part of the plot you end up with the exact same game - a stealth "assassination" sim in various time periods.

In any case, this Rising Phoenix makes my birdie rise and I feel hot all over - new PSVita games are always appreciated.

Because I feel the writing staff for Assassin's Creed is half competent, decent writers who can fit in a light-but-solid story and the other half are retarded monkeys who decided to write in the Animus/aliens/atheist pope parts of the game.
