What's the most recent version of it anyway? gPSP? gPSP Kai?So, who is up for re-porting the psp version?

That's awfully old (2006), and it looks like a version the Supercard team would have used. Then again, I took a stroll to the PSP section on GBAtemp, via Google, and they talk about gPSP-J 2012-06-16 [Ed Note: Emphasis mine]:I found the sources to gPSP v 0.9. According to the included read me, any distribution with anything else other than gPSP in the title are unsupported by the original author (unless they are just system ports).
The source is here: http://dl.qj.net/psp/emulators/gpsp-09-source.html
If someone wants to start a repo for it, we could start making changes here and there to get it compiling with the SDK if we can't obtain the supercard sources.
This doesn't bode well. Go with old, slow and compatible? or new, fast and glitched?Rydian - actually I think performance and "processing hacks" are the main updates made for gpSP, since the support decreased yet the performance increased... well we didn't expect full emulation, hell full SNES emulation on PC requires a PC above average GAMING PC, so PSP shouldn't hit the full GBA emulation, even though it's PSP, maybe Vita might... doublty
There is some source for gPSP Kai on SourceForge Japan, updated 2010-04-16: http://en.sourceforge.jp/projects/gpsp-kai/scm/svn/People that do GBA emulation on the PSP deal with either Kai or -J anyways so there's another split, though Idunno' if both sources are available.
Why not just start demanding the NDSGBA source from the SC team/their contact right now?
The new CATSFC has almost all the new improvements NDSGBA needs and unlike CATSFC NDSGBA runs most games at perfect or near perfect speed. No need to reinvent the wheel if we don't have to.
Well, they're legally obligated to. Just spam the hell out of them until they give it up if its like that. Give me their contact email and I'll personally ask.Point is that we do. No one, being Normmatt or the Supercard Team, seems willing to release the source.
"Legally obligated" mixed with China.Well, they're legally obligated to. Just spam the hell out of them until they give it up if its like that. Give me their contact email and I'll personally ask.

Yeah, good luck with that one.
No seriously, China in general doesn't give two shits about copyright/IP. You'll even find links to ROM sites, and ROMs themselves, on the sites of some R4 clones (and shops will sell carts preloaded with ROMs).
I think this aspect would matter more to a Chinese company, indeed. The "you're gonna get more sales if your product is better" aspect. It's not even a legal issue, if/once we get in direct contact with them they should know that it's in their best interest to have higher quality software running on the hardware they're selling. It's well known now that the DSTWO's SNES emulator was unplayable crap but recently Nebuleon has been making serious changes to that. It would do them good to fix up their mediocre GBA emulator too, they have literally no reason to keep the source to themselves (especially since they're not even doing anything to it) and by offering to keep it up to date and making improvements we're doing them a favor.
so your looking for "beta testers"?I am working on 1.4 if anyone wants to help in my endeavor i could use some feed back, i think i made a breakthrough that speed up some games but need more testing.
I'm more than willing to help. Throw me a PM.I am working on 1.4 if anyone wants to help in my endeavor i could use some feed back, i think i made a breakthrough that speed up some games but need more testing.
I don't know what is that project. Please, can you explain it?Just had a Chat with Normmat he said hes working on getting the latest sources available, he tried to port over the psp code with no luck, same with the, iplayer code no luck. if this gets revived i will try to help by reviving my GBA_config.txt improvement project.
NDSGBA version 1.21 supports a game_config.txt file to be put in the NDSGBA folder which fixes quite some games, like pokemon and such, because it corrects the save size type to the right one or something like that and fixes other useful things.I don't know what is that project. Please, can you explain it?
