BioWare have released a new trailer for their upcoming PC-only MMORPG, Star Wars: The Old Republic. The trailer shows off some of the progression and specialisation options you can get from choosing the Jedi Consular class, who focus on using their force and lightsaber skills in battles.
Star Wars: The Old Republic is out December 20th worldwide, and a subscription fee will be required to play the game.

MMOs aren't really my thing (I don't have a PC to play them, for one thing), but if I were to give one a shot, this looks like it would be it.

lol ive been given early access

I take it you mean you have been selected for beta testing?
There is a significant difference between "early access" and beta testing.

Sort of on topic:
I played a consular in the last beta and it was pretty sweet. Wondering how this will pan out.

I just came out of the latest beta test and let me tell you, this is a GREAT game. Even if your not into mmos, the class questlines for different classes have so much story and lore tied in. Not to mention the great voice acting and the ways to you choose 3 choices when in dialogue granting your lightside or darkside points to determine your alignment. You can be a Jedi with a darkside alignment and viceversa depending on the choices. Another great thing is that companions are not class restricted (everyone gets companions you can use) but you are entitled to the select few companions tied with your class. Even the instances have great story to them. This game is all around good!

P.S. Sith Inquisitor-Sorcerer all the way. (Force Lightning)

@SylverReZ, I dislike the kind of drm where you have to play single player games online all the time bc of some verification bs

@Xdqwerty, Don't use games that have Easy Anti-Cheat as its been exploited many times.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

@SylverReZ, i think they have been doing that since late 2000s

Either that or their old games were unfinished aswell but we can't notice it

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare

@Psionic Roshambo, I have a rom of the ds version of impossible mission
