You could just run a Windows boot disk and bootcamp or something similar...

It really isn't that hard. SNEEK is actually easier then setting up bootcamp. Follow THIS GUIDE and you should be fine.

Has any progress or any updates been made? I'm sad that I can't play Super Mario Sunshine with BootMii as an IOS, but if you're working on DML, it might happen :)

Thank you! Will you be looking to improve compatibility with BootMii IOS? I really want to play Sunshine, but my disk is broken.

Having to convert all your games to SNEEK format is a pain though, and may even require buying a new hard drive depending on how much space is left. Unless that SNEEK mod that lets you use iso/wbfs files is out and DML is compatible with it.

Devs are working on it, will keep you updated.
may I ask who's working on it?

Read the last few pages of this thread to get some names, but I'd like to know too.

It'd be comforting to know there are good people working on this.

It's actually a UNEEK mod, and DML is already known not to work on UNEEK.

It's not that difficult, you can have ModMii convert all your games (Wii games only, Gamecube has some problems) to *NEEK format. You can use Crediar's DiscEX converter for Gamecube games.

Actually DML is a standalone thing and it does work with UNEEK. DML needs SNEEK to select the games and write the boot files.
UNEEK can't do this because it has no access to the sd-card

ModMii has the option to this for whole folders with sub folders included or individual folders. This is your best and easiest bet for doing this?

Does Modwii have the optional to SHRINK games? Or just convert them?

ModMii does NOT work for Gamecube games. The WIT tools made by Wiimms extract them incorrectly. You can use them to mass-extract Wii games though.

To use Crediar's DiscEX converter for gamecube games, simply drag and drop the game onto the program. A folder will be made in the directory where the program is located.

It takes about 20 minutes to convert a Wii game and 10 minutes for a Gamecube game.

My plan in participating for extending DML PoC is to add the debugger capability (by using WiiRD) and running cheat codes (by using gct file like for the Wii), and now I would like to show the progress (in the video below). You could find/get the modified DML.elf and kenobigc.bin files in gadget4sneek googlecode page (http://code.google.c.../downloads/list).

Make sure you have a working version of DML before using this version. And use the same steps as described in the DML PoC instruction to convert the DML.elf file to 00000008.app file. One game (Pokemon Box) that I have somehow corrupts the code handler area (0x80001800 memory area) so the debugger/game become frozen at the beginning. I used the GameCube VI hook in this modified DML.elf, and so far it works great for several games (as you could see in the video). Let me know which games work and do not work in case any of you manage to test this.

Cheers.

Good to see progress. So Ocarina support for DML is not far away as you just need to use another code handler binary and load the codes into memory. Sounds like a bigger problem will be the GUI, so Ocarina, Wiird and Hooks are switchable. If you run into any problems with this, feel free to ask me.(as long as its general stuff or ppc code)

Anyways, i suggest to disable usb gecko debugging when using Wiird if you don't do it already. It might interfere somehow. (ok, sounnds redundant to mention it, but i want to do it anways)

After getting some PMs regarding paypal donations, I added the option to donate with paypal for dm/dml in my sig.

Also, great addition conanac, highly appreciated. Keep up the good work.

I have a suggestion which would improve funding: Figure out how much each needed function would cost to develop and list a graph. For example, if "Feature A" would cost 100.00 to develop show a graph and allow a person to donate directly to that specific effort. As money goes into one feature or another that area get's worked on. The progress bar would show a percentage of how much is paid for and how much is developed. This would work in two ways: First it would make development transparent, and second it would make people feel like they are really making a different by paying for the development. If I knew that 20.00 would help in some general way I would not be as likely to give it as if I knew that if I paid 20.00 a specific feature that I want to see completed gets done faster. From there you provide an extra incentive in that anyone who pays X amount of money into development gets to be a Beta Tester if they so wish and gets the completed work for free when it is all done. (No one will donate much to a project if they think they will also have to pay a second time for the completed work)

I have done programming in the past, but right now I am a full time college student so don't have the time to directly help, but if you need domain hosting for a product page I would have no problem with setting up a domain and an FTP login. Unlimited Storage and Bandwidth. That's really the most help I could provide if it's needed. I really hope the project finds success because my Wii is incapable of loading burned game cube games and I have a mountain of game cube games I would rather load from USB.

A suggestion as well: Maybe consider eventually merging your project into USB Loader GX? If you work with their team you could have a combined loader. Already USB Loader GX is capable of displaying Gamecube games and downloading images for them. (I know because I tried) so your project would complete faster if you at least design yours to Mod theirs.
