Hi I am new here, just wondered about the posibility of some kind person TRANSLATING AN ENGLISH VERSION OF Zettai Zetsumei Toshi 3 from the Japanese. The following I found on another site:

'ZZT3 was never localised and there’s no fan translations that I know of (but damn I hope someone is working on it somewhere), but there is THIS GUIDE online, complete with translations for every dialogue section in the game. I actually printed it off and am playing with it by my side. Heck, maybe hackers could hook up with the guy to create a translation patch'

So is there anyone out there who wants to give it a go. Would do it myself if I knew how.

Awesome guide..man if i was a hacker this would be my first project.

it's your lucky day, here is a tool (Updated 17/10/2013) i made for the game, it should edit the BIN files inside the TEXT folder.
The tool is still in Alpha Phase but Features the following:
-Export/Import the list of strings you are working on.
-Filtering system
-Auto Backup the file before saving.

if you find any bug, contact me here about it, and ill fix it for you, enjoy.

Wow thanks omarrio i'll test it.
You know i have a very odd problem with iso_tool whenever i try to decrypt the eboot.bin it crashes my psp shutting itself down.
Do you haven to have a tool to decrypt psp eboot.bin files too? =D

are you using JPCSP to decrypt the eboot ? if so, it won't load in the PSP, you need to HEXEDIT @0x4, the four bytes are 00 01 01 01, it should be 01 01 01 00 to load in PSP.

Alright i successfully decrypted the eboot.bin with PRXdecrypter 2.7a. =)
But when i open it with the tool, nothing happens.

yeah, the game doesn't accept Decrypted Eboots.

hmmm what ? the tool only edits the bin files inside the TEXT Folder in USRDIR

EDIT: i updated the tool, also the game won't load if one file is bigger by one byte.

Oh cool it works, so can i translate the text with the tool and save those bins, in theory it should work in game?

no, the game has a file check (??) mechanism, even if we were to localize how it works, it will most probably require a decrypted eboot, thus we'll be looking for a method on how to load the game with a decrypted eboot.

Also, download the updated tool, i fixed some stuff.

Omarrio I am down for helping out with the translation if you or someone can send me the Bin files. I am having trouble extracting them myself as am such a noob.

In the meantime have sent a message to OshareKeiji who created the translated guide to see if they are up for letting us use their translation. would save a lot of time!

Zettai Zetsumei Toshi 3 = The Desperate City 3

For those who aren't already aware...

The previous two Desperate City games got a US release on the PS2 (Disaster Report & Raw Danger!), with Raw Danger! (part 2) being generally considered the best game in the trilogy.

So if you already have a PS2 you can check them out while waiting for part 3's translation to finish.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.

@SylverReZ, atleast wiimmfii went fine although people only use it for Mario kart Wii

At least if they ban you for cheating, get another Wii. They're cheap as chips.

Remember when RiiShop was a thing?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
    not really
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
It got shutdown because somebody "accidentally" leaked the database for the amount of people using the beta.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
RiiShop is the laziest way of downloading Wii games. Did somebody not think of this through?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, I think you're talking about the recovery mode that the SaveMii used, and also was to restore softbricked systems.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
If your NAND was hardbricked, then just buy another Wii. Or go with the dirty NAND flasher method.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    Brb
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, Oh yeah, that was a thing too. Dolphin does support Wiimmfi.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
yeah you just need to put your NAND backup with wiimmfi on it
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
ngl i feel like if a bunch of my friends have wiis and know how to get wiimmfi and back up their NAND, then we could do a PMEX Remix tournament
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
maybe even add UMVC3/DBFZ and make it a biathlon/triathlon
