Okay, so here's the thing.
I've been looking all over the net for a working .iso of RE4. And I've downloaded allot of them (let's just say I don't know how to rip my original disc, or don't have the proper tools, whichever sounds more convincing).
And when I run them through ABGX, then all say

"SS media id does not match this game!"
"DMI media id does not match this game!"
"Stealth check failed!"
"AutoFix Failed!"

Now I know this should be kinda obvious. It's not safe.
But then I read a comment on a torrent, that said "Just load the iso, and choose "install to hdd", and it'll work". Now I'm not quite sure if he was talking about loading the game itself, because it seemed someone had problems with that as well, or if he meant it'll work online as well.

Is it safe to play this game, and not get banned? Or should I stay clear...?
I mean, I've played through it multiple times, but it'd be nice to have it on my xk3y hdd. I also read that with a xk3y, it's almost impossible to get banned.. The only way is if you play a game before it's official release. So are ABGX checks really necessary?

Any help would be great :)

Thanks

Well I did the thing, placed the .ini in the right folder.
Still getting the same errors though.

Saying that kind of freaked me out about my other games as well. They say they are okay, but started wondering if I maybe did something wrong when running them, if I didn't connect correctly to their server.

If anyone's got the time, here's the log as an attachment.

PS: I bought a couple of bundles of games, used, at the equivalent of eBay in my country. That's why my log is so long and stuffed with games. Because I own allot of games. It's true.

If you got the original disk then you could use that one ;]

Nope, unless you take out your existing DVD drive, flash it with a 0800 firmware or use a X360 USB Pro v2, there's no way to rip one.

Of course I have the original :-P
I just don't want to have to have to get up and change the disc all the time. My xbox is kind of hidden.
Got the wifi dongle and android app, so I can control everything from my couch. Just easier to have it all on the HDD or as XBLA.. :-) oh well, it's worth it. Great game :-)

Hm, I'm gonna download a jtag/rgh ripped xex-files version, then use Le Fluffie, or something to recreate a iso, and try running that through abgx.. Maybe, just maybe it'll work. Would be cool :-) I'll keep you posted on how it turns out..
