Hacking Xecuter SX FAQ - Finally!

My dongle is out of battery so the Switch console won't turn on. Does somebody know how to charge the dongle, please?

I thought it was a usb c, and that you were supposed to let it charge for around five seconds since it contains no battery. maybe I'm wrong. I've been lurking and reading switch stuff, so I'm not sure.

just google and looks like both ways work, you can use the micro usb cable OR plug it into your switch while its powered on and charge it that way.

no idea. that was based off of what I've read. I neither own the dongle nor have i hacked my switch. I'm still trying to wrap my head around all of the switch's basic functions. lol :D

I have no intention of using SX OS but can i use their dongle to load say ReiNX payload? DO i still need to activate a license or copy SXOS to my switch?

Hey sorry if this isn't the place to ask, but is there a way to make a custom boot.dat to launch into Lakka for example...?

Anyone knows alternative ways to charge the dongle? I rarely uses it and it is always out of charge since it only stays for about a week? Can i perhaps plug it into a powerbank or my handphone with a USB C port to charge it? Will it spoil the dongle?

The SX OS (boot.dat) will allow you to boot up any payload you like...
At least until you register a SX OS license, in which case it boots directly into the modified Horizon. (If there is a way to restore the original boot options, I'm not aware. )
Other than needing to keep it charged, I find it more convenient than needing to attach the switch to a computer to boot a payload.

The SX PRO is charged by microSD. I plugged it into my computer and it seemed to charge fine. I would guess any of the above would work.
You can probably plug the short microSD cable it comes with into your switch dock and keep both switch and dongle charged together.

I just received a new Switch with Firmware 4.1.0 and serial # shows as not patched. Should I upgrade the firmware to latest before configuring the SX Pro and disabling Wifi?
Also how do you add the NSP update files for games that run as XCI, example NBA 2019.?

Depends on what games you would like to play. Certain newer games will not work on 4.1.0 without a bunch of teeaksyor even at all. There is no reason I know of not to upgrade to 5.1 before you go offline.

Is it safe to format the sd card to exfat on a switch thru nintendo online in order to copy non split xci games to it? My switch is new and has never been used with sx pro and currently only updated to fw 5.1?

The Nintendo Switch itself is USB-C, but the SX Pro is Micro-USB. You can even charge the SX Pro without it being inserted into the Nintendo Switch. :D
