Yeah, I never used the Update cleaner. I think I should try it.
But nintendo update sever was blocked from my router setting.

That's good enough.
Run the Update cleaner found in WJ44's website (I think) and that should get rid of the update.
My guess is that the update got stuck in there from when you were in 5.3.2, while updating manually to 5.5 doesn't really get rid of it.

Good thing you had them blocked, though.

Even though I update my WiiU's system title to 5.5.0 by wup installer, the download manager still download system update file automatically.
So it's quite necessary to block nintendo update sever!

I have a question. How much (average) time should I wait for a 11.6gb folder to install. I used to have Class 6 read speed sandisk card but it look like it disappeared so I will buy a slower 2-4 class card (budget is thigh right now)when I have the chance.

Does this work on 5.2? I Stubbornly stayed on it back when y'all weren't sure if 5.3.2 was crackable haha.

It looks like you have to update to 5.3.2 to use this unfortunately. I'm still on 3.1.0 and would like to stay here until an IOSU exploit is found for 5.3.2. Given the recent happenings in the scene, is there likely to be a IOSU release for 5.3.2 if I update my console to 5.3.2 to spoof?

They can force future games with a file or function check. if you don't have the file (available only in future firmware updates) then the game can't launch. but it will affect only future games, not existing ones. they can release game updates to force a check. if yo don't update, you can't run the game, if you update you are missing a file/function in the firmware.

This along with my question above is disheartening. I would hate to update to 5.3.2 to use this only to find that IOSU exploit gets released for 3.1.0, or a game we are playing gets an update that knows the system is spoofed so we can't play it anyway.... Seems not a lot of point to this now if games can be updated to check rendering it useless? Or am I missing something?

You're missing an E in that title designating it's an update. You grabbed a full game there lexxy.

The title ID is actually the full game, you downloaded the entire game, not the update, it should be 0005000E, note the difference between 00050000. The last characters on the ID make the difference; it if ends in 0, full game, if it ends with an E, that's the update.

Question regarding the "E" in the update - Is it an E for everyone? It doesn't designate EU only, right? I'm still debating on spoofing or just updating. When it comes down to it, if they implement any security check for ZeldaU (or any future title leading up to it) to circumvent this like they did with the N3DS and it's new encryption, then I may as well just update.

The difference between this and the N3DS is that the N3DS has new physical hardware, it would be more difficult for Nintendo to do anything about this unless they implemented checks for something other than just the version.bin in a new update

it's E as a ... 14
it's an hexadecimal value used to select the Title type. it's a code used by the console and has nothing to do with the region.
more precisely it's a binary flag to differentiate Tittle type. (E = 1110 = 1000 + 110 = cannot execute + Patch)

00050000 = WiiU Title
0005000E = WiiU update
that's all there is to understand to the "E".

0001=Wii
0003=DSi
0004=3DS,
0005= WiiU
0007= vWii (unsure)

xxxx0000 = normal (title)
xxxx0006 = Patch
xxxx0008 = prevent execution
xxxx000E = update (Patch+Cannot execute?)

OpenDNS is not safe, been quite a few getting updated because it failed to do it's job. Block the URLs/IP via your router is more of a better option.
