Time for another GBATemp exclusive! Yellow Wood Goblin has just sent me the new build of Wood R.P.G. with permission to release it. Wood R.P.G. is an Acekard R.P.G. firmware, a fork of the defunct open source firmware from Gelu. This release brings with it a round of bug fixes and over 200 ROM fixes. At this point the firmware should have close to 99.99% compatibility. Please see below for more information.

Great news and appreciation to YWG for this...some of the improvements being made sound brilliant. I'm glad someone is still interested in the RPG and YWG seems to me to be forwarding it and keeping it alive (along with akaio thank fuc).

I still think we would all be better off if he contributed these fixes to AIO. My experience with 1.6 wasn't very good considering cheats were broken, and I'm still finding games as recent as 1.5 that flat out don't work (DK Climber, Princess Lilifee)

the akaio rpg engine is an older build from ywg. they share code all the time, but norm isn't really supporting the rpg as much these days. my guess is that rpg support will be removed form akaio sometime very soon.

No, I cant see any cheats folder. Im not particuarly bothered, I was just curious more than anything. Ive tested games on this fw that would not work with AKAIO 1.6 RC2 like sega all stars racing and they work a treat. Superb
