I got this yesterday

Came out 2 days after I downloaded 6956.
Installed it in a virtual machine to test it out

Can you tell me your PC's specs? And is it working well on VM? Well i would like to use this as primary OS but for playing around I gues I could install it on VM.

It's a Mac

2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 4GB RAM

You could always try to run it on a VM, download the trial of VMWare (Parallels Desktop doesn't work with 7 with my tests and freezes at setup) and install it.

Vmware is free on PC

Also I'm download it now seeing how well it will work.

I just installed Win7 before I reinstalled XP... was a nice interface... installed 7gig (yea, 7 gig for windows 7, haha) in just under 10 minutes... was ready and idle after 2 reboots, and less than 10 minutes... was really quick!

I have build 7000.0.081212-1400

if you don't enter a CDKey, it'll give you 30 days till it timebombs... but all in all, can't wait to see the RTM!

Anyone know if the new build will work if I have an older build? Does it just update it or something? D:

When you install there's an option to Upgrade.

I'm talking about can I just update without having to download the new build and and burning it.

No, you have to burn each build, and install it as a NEW... you can't upgrade from one build to another... the upgrade is from XP or Vista to 7... not 7 to 7... sorry

You have to burn EACH new build as it's leaked, and install is FRESH

With the taskbar, you can change some items and make it look like the Vista Start Menu. I'll reinstall 7 tonight and figure out how I did that and let all you peeps know.

Basically go into Taskbar properties and select "Use Small Icons" and then for Taskbar buttons select "Never combine" and it'll show the text like XP/Vista.
