Which system menu (Wii Menu) Are you using? Well then, please upgrade your system menu of your Wii to 4.1. Use the official Nintendo update.

Updating to the latest version (4.1) won't do a game disc update.

Not always
Some games will still install the IOS they need even if you have the newest sym
But those updates are harmless

What? I think you didn't even read the topic.

For the record, I am already on 4.1
What I am saying is, If I use USB loader GX to play ISOs, Could an ISO containing an IOS update or something automatically install it to my Wii causing it to brick?
USB loader removes/blocks updates

The games will never update anything ever using a USB loader. Even an iso or orginal don't matter all is safe with USB loader

USB Loader GX removes updates from games that you install, not from the ISOs that you download.

actually it doesn't need to block updates since all games run from usb using wbfs and waninkoko's usbloader or anything based on it (all are, afaik) are stripped of the update partitions. As someone above has already said, that goes the same whether the game is installed from a disc (via wii) or from an iso (via pc).
